Description: We were born and raised in Italy and believe that when it comes to Italian food in the U.S., a lot has been lost in translation. We created our winery and our restaurant to pursue our passion for the true flavors of life. We believe the true flavors of authentic Italian cuisine are beautiful. Italian cuisine began with dishes made with few, simple ingredients (flavors) that were strong enough to stand on their own. In effort to capture them, we use select local organic, and Italian ingredients and prepare our dishes in strict accord with traditional regional recipes. Ca’ Momi is Italian for “House of Momi”, Stefano and co-owner Valentina’s family home in Veneto, Italy. The house was named in honor of “Momi dea Bionda”, who is legendary in the Veneto region for his fiery obsession with safeguarding his home. We believe Momi’s protective spirit is still watching our property. Our food, like our wine, is a celebration of his passions and his quest for the simple pleasures of life.

This was one of the most pleasant discoveries on our trip. WE enjoyed a rustic red from Montepulciano, a platter of six cured meats, heavenly roasted vegetables, and a trio of fresh focaccia. So relaxing and delicious that we longed to stay for hours. Alas, we had an afternoon appointment but were wise enough to take the Sicilian cannoli to go. Sit on the deck if the day is not too cool and breezy.

We went to the Oxbow Market after a full day of tastings in Napa. We almost didn't try this restaurant because there wasn't a table free on the patio. But we waited and were accomodated 25 minutes later. So glad we did! Because we were not famished, we shared a lovely organic green salad and the Prosciutto and funghi pizza. The server recommended the house red wine...it was very good. The combination of the food and wine was what made the meal so delicious. Kudos to the server for knowing the menu well enough to help us combine the perfect flavours. Thank you for making our last meal in Napa so enjoyable!

We were looking for a good mom and pop Italian resturant with tradional fare. We read the add and stopped at this place. The menu is a bit srange and almost vegetarian except for a selection of tounge, sweet breads, oxtail and liver. I was thinking veal when I started the Italian train. We ended up having some small bowls of pasta that was average. The pizza did look good and I wish that is what I had ordered.

Pastries and pizza, I went twice during my stay. The margarita pizza was the best. The small tarts and desserts were very tasty.

We went on a Tuesday night which is Locals night. We walked around trying to decide where to eat and finally decided on Ca' Momi. We were so glad we did. My husband had the Fried Sweetbreads which were delicious. Then we had the Local Night Special-a pizza and 1/2 Liter Carafe of wine for $21. The pizza was very, very good. We enjoyed talking to the locals on either side of us and meeting real Napa people. I would go again in a heartbeat.

We also had the bignes which are Italian cream puffs/mini eclairs. Yumm!!!
