“Good base to visit Napa & Sonoma”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2012

Stayed the middle of May. It is a modern, well appointed, clean, business hotel.
There are three floors. We stayed on the third floor. They have several very large room at the west end on the hotel. Those rooms end in the numbers 316 through 320. Room 319 was very large, with a very large bathroom. The bathroom featured a walk in shower, a Jacuzzi tub, two sinks, and a separate toilet room. There is complimentary internet access. There is a work desk with chair, two upholstered chairs and a sofa. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. The room was quiet and, since the hotel is located on a road that parallels Highway 29, it is sufficiently away from traffic to avoid road noise.
Avoid rooms ending in 07 through 09, as they are right at the elevator and ice/vending machines.
My only problem with the room was that it took several minutes - you could brush your teeth waiting - for the hot water to reach the shower. A definite waste of water.
The Garden Inns offer breakfast and dinner. The staff was very attentive. The food was prepared exactly as ordered. My only complaint is that, unlike other Garden Inns, the breakfast service does not have bacon available in the buffet. When I ordered a side of bacon, I received only 2 pieces of bacon. Being stingy with the bacon is a little strange.
The hotel location is very good as a base, if you are visiting both the Napa Valley and the Sonoma Valley. Overall, a very good stay.

Hilton Garden Inn is a nice choice in Napa if you aren't looking to break the bank on your hotel stay. The location is central and the facility is nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast is good an inexpensive. I would have rated them a four but they really need to get rid of the sleep number mattresses. I'm sure there are plenty of fans of this type of upscale air mattress but I'm not one of them. Do i want my mattress a 10 or a 2. Good heavens, I don't know. I just want a comfortable place to sleep at night with out having to guess what I'm going to like.

Room Tip: Farther from the road is always better.

was here for 3 nights. plenty of parking and close to hwy 29 on and off ramps. close to a target, walgreens, trader joes, whole foods market. rooms are good sized with a useful mini-fridge and microwave. flatscreen LG perfect size for room. nice having complimentary wi-fi. front desk personnel were all cheerful and helpful. housecleaning staff also say hello. negative is i noticed the carpet was showing its age and the foot rest for the arm chair looked a bit grimy. for us the beds are too soft and would prefer a mix of foam and down pillows automatically in rooms instead of leaning toward one type only. it is a 3 mile drive into downtown napa. we asked for late check-out and they gave us an extra one and one-half hours. if you have stayed at some other hilton garden inns you notice the cookie cutter layout.

Going to keep this short and sweet - great property. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We are Hilton Gold, so we got a complimentary hot breakfast - which was prepared wonderfully. Property location is right off the highway - extremely easy access regardless of where in Napa Valley you were looking to head to. Trader Joes right around the corner. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the area.

We came to Napa as part of a long weekend surprise celebration for my 50th birthday. We spent Thursday night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Napa before moving on to the rest of the weekend surprise celebrations. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband worked with Krystal in making these surprise reservations. He said she was very helpful and accommodating. She made great suggestions of things to do. Part of the surprise was taking the Napa Valley Wine Train which was part of the package with our stay. We arrived to the hotel around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon after the wine train and Krystal checked us in. Krystal and Erin (spelling?) were very helpful and always pleasant. Food was good. Service was great. Easy to find, right off the highway

My wife and I traveled from Michigan to celebrsate our anniversary and being Hilton Gold decided to burn points and spend two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn in NAPA before moving on the a local B&B. The room was typical for a Hilton Garden Inn which was a comfortable, clean and a great bed. The thing that stood out the most was how friendly and helpfull the staff was. We arrived around 2 Pm Friday afternoon and Krystal checked us in. She advised we still had time to do a quick winery tour at the Hess Winery and still be back in time for the hotel wine tasting. Krystal even gave a us 2 for 1 wine tasting coupon for the tour which was all the incentive we needed. Hess Winery turned out to be a great tour and would highly recommend it. We purchased a case of the Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon to be shipped back to Michigan. Krystal greeted us upon our return and advised they have several other 2 for one discounts that we might want to consider. Over the next two days Krystal and when she was not available Megan was able to answer any questions or make recommendations for wineries, tours or restaurant. Krystal is an outstanding employee and should have a very successful career with Hilton.
