I spent two wonderful nights and mornings in the wine country at the Cottages of Napa Valley. Everything about this place is right. The jet-tub is especially right, and exiting a bubble bath to the warm tile floors is one of the many details that did not go overlooked by the thoughtful owners who really took time to think through the guest experience. My cottage was immaculate and cozy, and it was so nice to have specialties like Peet's coffee (my favorite), a french press, cream in the fridge.. a lovely basket of decadent baked goods from Bouchon Bakery appears magically every morning along with the New York Times and fresh fruit and OJ, compliments of the Cottages! Lots of special touches. The staff made excellent dining recommendations, and went to every length to see that my stay was enjoyable. This is an experience that rings true of Napa Valley's charming yet high-end aesthetic. The Cottages did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back!

I would highly recommend The Cottages to anyone planning a trip to Napa. It's all been said in other reviews but I completely concur: Charming, romantic cottages with amazingly comfortable beds. Loved the gas fireplaces inside each cottage as well as the log fireplaces in the private sitting area outside each individual cottage. The bathrooms were spacious with a heated floor. Each morning we looked forward to the basket that appeared on our front porch containing delicious croissants, pastries etc. from the Bouchon Bakery, fruit, juices, and a newspaper. The kitchen was constantly stocked with wine, water, coffee and snacks--all complimentary!
This romantic Inn really made our trip special.

Everything you read in most of these reviews is completely accurate; this is a great place and a fantastic value. The cottages are quaint and luxurious at the same time; great bed, heated bathroom floor, gas-log fireplace. Each cottage has at least one exterior seating area, with an outside wood-burning fireplace. The morning juice/pastry/newspaper baskets were a great touch and rivaled any room service I have ever had (the pastries are incredible). Lots of other things that you almost never see; snacks in the room, wine/water/juices/coffe creamer in the fridge, and no price lists; everything was complimentary.

The staff was great, especially Kevin. We had looked at staying at a high-end resort on this trip, and are so glad we chose The Cottages. It was significantly less expensive, and I honestly don't think I could have enjoyed any other place as much. There is no doubt we will be back, and would not consider staying anywhere else.

My wife and I spent a wonderful anniversay and the place was charming. While quirky the staff is very hospitable and worked hard to make you happy. The bathroom is okay and the shower/tub combo is not my favorite as the shower head is not long enough and the stream is weak. The most enjoyable part was a gas fireplace in the room and nice wood burning chiminea that felt like five star campsite. We made smores and drank some wine; life just couldn't get better. The place was spotless and cleaned very well everyday. They provided a nice continental breakfast from Bouchon Bakery from NY. It was delicious and arrived every morning promptly. I highly recommend for a stay the only downside is you need to drive to a downtown as it is on highway 29.

We stayed for one night on a weekend getaway to Napa. Our cottage was large and very clean, cozy, and charming. We appreciated all of the attention to detail. When we arrived we were pleased to find that there was snacks and beverages in the fridge, complimentary wine, music playing, and the fireplace was going. The bathroom had a nice soaking tub and heated ceramic tile floor that we only wish we had at home.

Since it rained all weekend, we did not get a chance to enjoy the outdoor porch and fireplace. Perhaps next time.

The best part was the newspaper and breakfast basket of goodies from Bouchon Bakery that was dropped off on our front porch in the morning! The cottages are only about 2 miles from downtown Yountville and they provide transportation to that area so you can go to the restaurants and have plenty of wine!

Overall it was a quiet, romantic stay and highly recommended as a nice alternative to staying at one of the high-end hotels in the area.

We stayed in cottage #5 with the "Cottage Pairings" deal for two nights, plus wine tasting at Chappellet and dinner at Ad Hoc. We were SO glad we included the cottages in our weekend getaway plans! The cottage was pristine, and they thought of everything - from complimentary wine and snacks and an area to have an outdoor fire where we could relax in the evening, to a wonderful dinner at Ad Hoc (awesome in it's own right!). We would not have considered Chappellet in our wine tasting plans if it had not been included in the deal, but I am so glad we went. We have decided that when we plan another getaway to Napa, the Cottages of Napa Valley will be our overnight stay.
