“Wonderful atmosphere and history”
Reviewed 25 October 2011

We had dinner here for our 40 yr anniversary. The service was perfect, the meal itself wonderful..we were fortunate to have The Vault to ourselves..Allegria is an old Napa Bank refurbished with the history palpable. Very nice. Highly recommended..

“Good, not great”
Reviewed 25 October 2011

This was a decent old world style Italian place. Pasta dishes were tasty but nothing special. Dessert brownie was stale & dry. they had a live accordion player which was a nice touch, but it was very loud, so much so that I could not hear my husband across the table...

“Great service, interesting decor. Decent Italion”
Reviewed 24 October 2011

Located in an old bank buiding it is very interesting. We had great service, including them graciously moving us to anther table when ours was deemed unaccetable. The food was pretty good, and priced reasonably for napa. The wine prices are high, though.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed 23 October 2011

Maybe our expectations were too high for this place after reading all the great reviews. One thing we did love was the ambiance...lots of red lighting and cool features leftover from when this was a bank(?). We ordered the linguine frutti di mare, the teriyaki skirt steak and shared a half bottle of wine. Everything was good but nothing special. We had wonderful dinners at other restaurants in Napa and this just wasn't at the top of our list.

“Amazing Gnochi, Excellent Calamari!”
Reviewed 19 October 2011

I was craving some Italian but was too lazy to cook it myself so I decided to go visit my Fav Italian Place in town.

Tried something different this time... Had the Appetizer sampler and the Gnochi with Chicken.

The app's were all excellent as usual.
The Steak Satay was different for an Italian place but not bad by any means.
The Calamari is out of this world, cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
The Crab cake... well it's a crab cake, excellent.
The bruschetta was excellent, fresh bread instead of the day old stuff alot of restaurants use.

The gnochi with chicken.... Excellent. Chicken was very moist and fresh tasting, the gnochi was superb. The pesto wasn't as Basil'y as I usually make my pesto, but when your being lazy you can't always get everything you want.

Still, a couple pieces of bread and I had that plate clean before I let them take it.

Finished off with a Hot Fudge Sundae, something new I didn't remember from last time. Excellent!

Still the #1 Italian place in town, can't wait to go back!
