Visiting Napa and discovered Zuzu based on reviews. Exquisite cooking of everything. We had lunch and started with some house made sangria-wonderful! Had to have seconds. We tried the octopus and blood sausage, flat iron steak and mus hroom empanadas. The octopus and sausage were served in a black garlic saucewith grilled sun chokes that was incredibly sweet and savory at the same time. If you are not used to the texture of blood sausage, be prepared. It has the texture of oatmeal, which I wasn't ready for. The special flat iron steak was so tender and perfectly cooked to medium rare. It was Wagyu style steak and melted in our mouths. Served with a garlic chimichurri sauce that was a perfect complement. Loved the mushroom and goat cheese empanada. Light and flavorful with the wild mushrooms. Served with a small micro green salad on a bed of smoky tomato sauce. Very, very good! Please come to Portland and open a second shop! Service was great. We sat at the bar and had great conversation with the locals and partners of the restaurant!
