“Price, value & good winery help”
Reviewed 13 April 2011

I was travelling with two mates. The location was fantastic, right near the spot of town without the price. The rooms were reasonable sized and clean. Good winery suggestions and passes from the young chap in the office. I recommended if you and your mates are looking for a inexpensive place without the laps of luxury. Major bummer for breakfast, no choices.

The room was clean and the price is right, and if those are your main concerns in staying there, then go for it. Stop on your way to going someplace else.

The room is spartan - I had to ask for an extra towel for my hair as only two are provided. There was exactly one partial roll of toilet paper, it was on the holder, and no kleenex. Had to use toilet paper to blow our noses, and if we'd run out of toilet paper, I guess we'd have been using one of the wine brochures we'd brought with us.

But the most uncomfortable part is that the room was cold! It was 57 degrees when we woke up in the morning and we were cold all night. There's a heater in the room, but no controls. The bed has a thin blanket and a thin bedspread. The water in the sink and the shower has to be run for at least a minute and more like two minutes, before hot water comes out. The water pressure in the shower is very light.

I didn't see any evidence of a breakfast, don't know where some of the other reviewers found that, but the office/lobby is about 6 square feet, so don't expect much.

All in all, we won't be back, even if the price was good.

I found it to be a good and clean place to stay overnight for an even better price. Booked the room online and I was happy to find out there was free wifi too. Overall not bad. Could improve on breakfast but not that important.

I was trying to find a place that wasn't too pricey and would allow a 1 night stay over the weekend, as we're from San Francisco but didn't want to drive home after a late night dinner. Found this hotel that seemed reasonable through our credit card rewards program. I read the reviews and thought they seemed to equal out for an average expectation...wrong!
Sadly, this had more of a motel-feel, run-down and had a window to speak to the reception clerk. We pulled in, still trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, were doubled charged for payment and then found the room to be unacceptable (smelled of mildew, stained comforter and rug). It was worth it to lose rewards points rather than stay here!

We stayed in room 15 for $109 per night. The windows were open when we walked into the room but it still smelled like human urine on the carpet. The Indian/Pakistani manager sadly denied the foul smell in the room.
The smell of urine comes from the carpeting between the beds--no doubt some wine-o could not make it to the bathroom and just pised on the carpet. The management is too cheap to replace the carpeting. When we checked out early the next day--the guy charged me for an extra night--BEWARE--CHEAPO IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD DEAL!!

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. We arrived late but the owner still greeted us warmly and mentioned that he was expecting us. We mentioned about some difficulties in booking the hot air balloon ride, and he offered to help us call the company using his phone.

The next day unfortunately, the weather was bad and we couldn't proceed. The owner got to know about this as he saw us coming back, and recommended some tours, also offering to help us call the tour company. But never pushy!

We required some help in printing tickets for a theme park which we were going to later on in our trip and approached him again. Though it was already night time, he didn't hesitate to help us and even invited us to his house so that we could use his computer to print the tickets.

Very helpful and personal service! Only bad thing about the hotel was the bath tub.. It didn't look clean enough for us to want to soak in it.
