“Quality and Excellence”

I was looking for something romantic in Napa for a few nights after a business trip in San Fran. Looked hard in Napa and Sonoma and think I found a true gem. We stayed in the Elizabeth Suite that had a bay window, jacuzzi tub, and was just a delight in every way. We normally like to sleep in when on vacation, but Jas insisted we try the first breakfast at 9 in the morning. It was incredible. He truly is a gifted chef and had things that I never imagined for breakfast. We woke up every morning for breakfast after the first morning because we did not want to miss his creations. Location is great, close to shopping, restaurants and downtown Napa.

Room Tip: All rooms are great but we did love the Elizabeth suite. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

This little Jewel was an accidental find and we are so glad that we stayed here!! The inn keeper is amazing and made sure everything was in perfect order for our stay. We stayed in the Pinot Noir room which is on the second floor, it was a bright spacious room with beautiful furnishings and decor and a nice big modern bathroom with a spa tub and a full body shower. Breakfast was delicious! Plenty of street parking, however your car may get bombed by the birds in the trees.. We will return again!

The wife and I stayed here for a 10th anniversary trip.

Chef Jas and the rest of the staff created a perfect stay. I haven't had such a great night's sleep in years. The morning breakfast were amazing.

We stayed in the Pinot room, which I would highly recommend.

A word of caution if you have dietary restrictions. I am highly allergic to eggs and oats and we were traveling with two vegetarians. When I made the reservation I talked to them about our restrictions and asked them to make accommodations which the gal said they were happy to do and that she was writing it in as we spoke. My daughter spoke to them the week of our stay and emailed them reminding and discussing our dietary needs. When we met the innkeeper he made the comment that he had a very special breakfast planned for us, so we thought that was a confirmation. At breakfast we were all served identical meals which consisted of an egg and a sausage. When we sent the respective mistakes back, we received either the sausage or the egg, mine came with a melon slice, theirs was just the egg. When the innkeeper came out and we expressed our surprise he chastised us for not telling him directly and went on for several minutes about how he's been to hundreds of inns all over the world and everybody knows you should always have those discussions directly with the innkeeper. My daughter was irritated and told him she imagined they would have better management since she both emailed and spoke to someone and he said that we shouldn't have made that mistake. Arrogance?

My daughter and I heard him later saying to my husband that he did see a note in the reservation but that clerk was gone... Gee, was that an apology?

So if you have dietary restrictions you'll want to be quite pointed and speak only to the innkeeper because apparently nobody else there is trustworthy.

The inn was beautiful and in easy walking to town. We had a room across the street from the main house where our two adult kids each had rooms. Ours was the Elizabeth room and it had coffee in the room along with complimentary port and sherry.

We are very laid back, easy going people and the inn was lovely. We were a little concerned because they told us only days before we came that they would be having an open house with all sorts of people coming through. They told us not to be concerned because people would not be allowed into our rooms. When we arrived around 5 pm the door was open to my sons room and people were allowed to roam in there. The gal said we couldn't check in and use that room yet because the event was going until 7pm. When we found the innkeeper he checked us in and we were allowed to shut and lock his room so it was fine. We all went to my room across the road until after 7, so it was fine.

A funny thing that might have really bothered someone was that the night of the event they served skewers of food and arrayed them stabbed into a melon. The next morning the piece of melon that was served with my sausage was clearly the same melon. We all chuckled over that...and I chose not to eat it.

We do apologize for the lack of your requested breakfast. The chef did not have the instructions that you initially requested, which he does enjoy doing these. We thank you for your patience during the annual charity tour. The four hour tour does provide a nice donation to several local charities. I am happy you enjoyed your stay with us.

Charming space, nice location. Delicious breakfast. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Got to see most of the rooms with friends staying and all the rooms had some charm to spare. Outdoor spaces were well done and inviting.

Room Tip: Some rooms have an odd bathtub in the closet set up, I would advise against that set up.

Very nice/beautiful place to stay. We had the Gamay room, with jacuzzi, which we used. The jacuzzi turned on by itself about an hour after we were done, tried several times to push the button, until if finally shut off. Forgot to tell the owners before we left. We had a couples massage in the room, which was great. However, the B&B website said it was $200 for couples massage, but we were charged $270. Also, we booked through Expedia, and the price was advertised at one rate, but we were charged a higher rate. All the extras were great, sparkling wine and chocolate truffles in the room, the coffee/tea/snacks/fruit were nice. The room was quiet as there were only two rooms on this floor. Street noise was ok, seemed like a lot of traffic for such a residential area, but it was fine. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
