“Nice place for a couple of nights”
Reviewed 12 August 2012

We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Napa. The good prize that included free wi-fi, breakfast and parking was the main reason for our choise. Parking was easy and the wi-fi worked. Rooms were nice and clean, but we heard most of the conversations to the people staying at the room next to ours. A bit irritating. Breakfast was okay. Nothing fancy, but the had juice, bagels, some fruit, waffels and other basics. But the breakfast-area was way too small. It was very crowed both mornings, and some people didn't get a table. The pool was also an upside. A nice swim after a day of wine tasting was perfect. But there were so few sunbeds. I think there was only 12 beds and I'm pretty sure that there was space for more. There is an Mexican restaurant next to the hotel were we had lunch the first day.

There are really few positive things that one can say about this hotel, when one considers the price (I paid some 350 USD per night). Yes the breakfast is complimentary, but of very low quality. Rooms are small and furniture is very mediocre. The decor in general is pretty depressing and the setting, in the outskirts of Napa, far away from pretty much everything, is a setback. I will not go back here!

When this "Best Western" hotel came up on the Hotwire lottery at 3.5 stars, I raised an eyebrow. But overall, the experience was pretty pleasant.

We drove up from Southern California and hit traffic that delayed our arrival by almost 3 hours...no problem with the hotel after a simple phone call from the car. Check-in at 2am was quick and pleasant.

The room was simple but clean, with a good sized bathroom and closet. The bed was comfortable and the linens crisp and clean.

They offered free breakfast, albeit with a room that couldn't handle the number of guests very efficiently. Food was adequate, with a waffle bar, sausage and (unforgivably powdered) eggs, and a decent selection of juices and pastries.

Customer service was friendly from the Front Desk to Housekeeping to the Breakfast room.

The hotel provided the perfect crash pad for 3 days in the Napa Valley.

3.5 stars? Not quite, but a solid experience. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, especially at the value price we had on Hotline ($120/night).

Room Tip: We got a room with an outside window near an exit, which picked up a little more street noise than o...

It was an overall great stay. The hotel was clean, updated and cozy. The services & amenities were great as well. They had a nice pool area, washer and dryers on each floor and a great breakfast. Besides the wonderful environment, the hotel was safe and close to things in napa. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

So having just come back from a 2 week vacation in Maui, we needed to find a place to stay for a 20 year anniversary wine tasting weekend for a friend of mine. Didn't have much time and found this property, which was relatively close to downtown Napa and the other wine tasting events. I have to say in all honesty, we weren't thrilled about the prospect of staying at a Best Western, BUT, it turned out fine. The property looks as if it has been renovated recently, rooms are very clean/nice and the location was solid. If you need a place to stay in the Napa Valley without completely breaking the bank, this isn't a bad option. Don't let the BW name fool you. Guess "Premier" means something. :) Also, if you're looking for great wine, check out the Backroom in downtown Napa. Dan has a tremendous selection of wines that you won't find other places. Also has tremendous knowledge.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The place is very good. Well-located, nice rooms, decent breakfast, friendly helpful staff. The front desk clerk was happy to take on the challenge of helping us book a hard to get dinner reservation, and he got it!

Room Tip: Like in all hotels: avoid the ice machine on the ground floor. I think they use it for the breakfast...

This was our first experience with a BW Premier and we were looking forward to a lovely stay. We arrived at 3:45 and were given a queen room when our reservation said king room so we had to wait until 4:30 before a king room was available. Wi-fi was free and available in the lobby while we waited. This property was originally an old motel that has been given a very extensive facelift so it’s looks very sleek and new. However, once you look beyond the new décor, there are issues. The rooms and especially the bathroom (tub/shower and toilet) are quite small. Light switches are in odd places (one is inside the closet so the closet door has a little cutout). Electrical outlets are non-existent, even at the large desk, so forget trying to plug in the iron conveniently (we had to unplug the microwave, which was inside a cabinet) or trying to recharge your phone or laptop at the desk. There’s a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall but it wasn’t level. One of the listed “features” was an in-room safe. It was on the lower shelf of the luggage stand furniture (not so easy to operate, if you chose to) and it was not secured to this small piece of furniture. It was a portable safe and easily portable by anyone who chose to pick it up and take it out of the room along with all of your valuables. The king bed had an ancient box spring that creaked with the slightest movement and which sagged noticeably to the center so the two of us had both rolled to the middle by morning. It was the most uncomfortable mattress of any we had on our one-week trip. Due to a rather large gap under the room door, there was quite a bit of hallway noise coming into the room. Also, probably due to the type of sub floor in the hallway, any person—even slight of build—sounded like the thundering herd coming down the hall. The sink was actually outside of the bathroom and had about 2 square feet of available counter space due to all of the amenities laid out by the sink. There were no hooks or convenient shelves for your toiletries. The maid couldn’t leave hand towels to save her life. The breakfast was quite good and extensive. However, there were only 21 seats in the breakfast area, meant to service 115 rooms. Some chose to take breakfast back to their rooms but there were no trays available to help with that. You could go outside on the patio where there were more tables and chairs but it was cold outside so not many people did. It’s hard to say what you’d do for seating during the winter months. Be careful where you park your car because their sprinklers will spray your car with hard water overnight. There’s a good Mexican restaurant next door and an Italian restaurant up the street. Otherwise, a car is essential.
Overall, it was nice to be able to leave. It’s definitely overpriced but they can probably get it because of the area. We would not recommend this property and would not want to stay there again.

Room Tip: second floor away from the highway
