We recently stayed here for the weekend to visit Wine Country. We found the hotel owners to be very friendly, accommodating of our schedule, gave great food and wine suggestions, and even served us coffee during their wonderful breakfast. It feels like a B&B, but with a much lower price than most others in Napa. Their evening cookie and cider was a surprising treat. Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway in Napa!

I booked this hotel based on other reviews I read on tripadvisor and it was a great find! The staff was accommodating, the room was comfortable and the breakfast in front of the fire was just the right touch!

PROS -
* Afternoon cookies and hot apple cider (served around 5pm) were so yummy! They even had some fresh home baked fudge out for the holidays
* Fresh belgian waffle breakfast by the fireplace (came with rate)
* Cozy room with a fireplace at a reasonable rate
* Close to downtown Napa
* Lovely service with a smile
* Outside hot tub
* Robes provided in your room
* Location not bad with our car (about 15 minute drive to heart of the wineries)

(MINOR) CONS-
* Basic bathroom and room set up - nothing too fancy
* I could see parking being a problem around peak season
* No view from our room - just the parking lot
* Location is not in the heart of it all and not the prettiest spot but we felt safe

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and have to say this is the best Best Western we have stayed at!

My husband and I loved this charming, small hotel. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated for Christmas, and very comfortable. The staff was the best; all were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts that we have had. We appreciated the attention to detail in the lobby and the breakfast area. They even had the utensils in small decorated stockings on the tables for Christmas Day! We will stay there again when we visit relatives in Napa.

Think about the very best hotel stay you've ever had.
This was 20 times better than that.
The family that runs the Elm House (and over the one night stay we had, we know them all by name) treat every guest like their closest friends. Before we even arrived, we called and spoke with Connie to arrange our wine tour (she set us up with the best in town) and we felt her warm welcome. When we arrived in this lovely, cottage style Inn we felt like we were inside a home, with a fireplace stoked and gingerbread smell in the air. There was a fresh breakfast waiting for us (complimentary, of course) with fresh oatmeal (with traditional toppings to fun, festive ones like chocolate covered raisins), home made GINGERBREAD Belgium waffles, and other delicious treats. Connie greeted us with a genuine cheerful glow, she knew exactly who we were, and had everything arranged and waiting for us so all we had to do was get on the tour! Our wine tour ended up being the two of us girls, and her daughter who was in town visiting with a couple friends! We had a lovely time and upon returning, I snuggled in the comfy bed for an afternoon nap. The room was big, and had everything I could possibly need.
When we decided to get dinner, Tom, Connie's husband recommended a lovely Tapas place. We tried to go and our rental car wouldn't start, well Tom saw us go upstairs to the room with a sad look on our faces and immediately called up to see what he could do. He ended up making sure we had a wonderful, safe, and fast trip to the restaurant, going to lengths that were above and beyond anything that he could have been expected to do. The next morning, Teddy, Tom and Connie's son, greeted us at breakfast with a lovely smile and fresh waffles. He asked us all about our trip and to see if there was anything else he could do to help us out. I cant believe that in a 24 hour trip we were able to feel so taken care of and welcomed into not just an Inn, but a family. We really loved Napa, but without the Elm House, it wouldn't have been nearly as lovely, relaxing, and special. It is a 5 star hotel secretly placed inside an affordable, adorable (and did I mention, clean?) Inn. Thank you so much to the Elm House Family, we recommend this place wholeheartedly, and can't wait for our friends and family to experience it as well.

From check in to departure the family atmosphere was clear and welcoming. At the outset it was obvious that they would do everthing they could to enhance your stay. The cider and home made cookies helped us to relax and unwind after what had been a long and active day.
Cleanliness and efficient in everything they do and when requested a little extra something for the room after proposing on balloon trip they happily went above and beyond and not only put in a cold bottle of bubbly as requested but added their own individual touch with rose petals and fruit to match.
An amazing stay and could not have asked for a better hotel to come home to after an understandably stressful day. Only regret is not staying longer!
