Recently I stayed for one night in the Radisson at Newport Beach, CA. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to highways and near by businesses.
The room I stayed in was comfortable and very clean - good job!
The breakfast buffet was also very good - the personnel attentive
So, overall, I would say this is a hotel that offers good value

Stayed here Dec 2013-great location near OC Airport for anyone coming in to fly into or out of John Wayne. Also very close to the business corridor of Irvine. Although it has a Newport Beach address, it is not near the water which could be a disappointment for some people but an advantage for those who want a swankier address for an event. Across the street you can see the planes take off and land but there is no noise issue because of double paned glass.
There is no charge for parking and it is plentiful even at night when all the guests are in. Once you enter, you will see a huge spacious lobby because of the atrium style of architecture. People are super friendly-the greeter at the door and the front desk agent are very nice.
I check in to my room-it is a good space, with a big closet, flat screen TV and workspace. There is a balcony too that you can walk out to to watch the planes. The hotel adopted Sleep Number beds a while ago which people either like or hate. Most guests who check in want to rest right away without having to figure out how it works. When you get it to a comfortable level its fine, but it could be a hassle when you just want to go to sleep. Luckily this time I got into a regular bed which was super comfortable. The drawbacks: the hotel is a but dated with the plastic flowers and the light pine colors and carpet, and not in tune with the boutiques of today using more bold colors. My first night, the shower water was either very hot or piping hot and I could not figure out how to make it cooler so I gave myself a towel bath. The next morning it was fine, so I'm wondering if maybe it just got too hot late at night when no one is using it.
The internet also is touch and go at times, the connection gets lost.
For all its flaws, I find the breakfast at the Tiffany very good and the service from the waiter Eladio outstanding. The hotel is also walking distance to Benihana and a host of other restaurants in the complex next door. There is also a shuttle to SNA which is very convenient.
The hotel gets a lots of business, leisure travel and is a very good value for the location.
Would be nice to go for a dip in the pool, but it was too cold. I understand the tent next to it could also host big events, and well as the existing indoor spaces for a bar, private dining and ballrooms for many different types of functions. The hotel has a lot of potential if upgrades are done-otherwise it is friendly, reliable and centrally located!

Room Tip: Don't get a room with a sleep number bed!

This hotel sticks to the radisson brand. The building is fairly standard with little charm but the lobby is furnished with a mix of furniture which breaks up the rather open space. The staff are friendly and helpful which is highly appreciated. The rooms are clean although slightly dated. Bed was of good quality and gave support while still feeling soft. The very small balcony with opening window was lovely to allow fresh air into the room but with the proximity of the airport there could be some noise. The pool area was very quiet and the heated pool and very warm hot tub were great for the chilly weather. Room service was decent and quick. As expected but nothing more. I found the internet to be a little slow but it is free on the basic speed. The hot water seemed to be a bit touch and go. Sometimes too much, sometimes too little but always ok for a shower. Free parking is good and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the nearby malls as there is very little in the immediate area although the hotel will provide a list of what is around. Overall a very decent hotel for the price with great access to John Wayne airport (next door), Disneyland and to the ocean as long as you have transport.

I travel weekly and when I am in Orange County, this is my hotel of choice. Yes - the rooms may appear just a tad outdated but the hotel is 23 years old. However, the beds are really comfortable, the bedding is excellent, the carpet is new, flat screen TVs, decent sized bathroom and nice work desk with comfortable work chair, which is important to me. Free internet is also a plus compared to some of the typical business hotels. Oh---and let's not forget how CLEAN everything is!

Can't beat the location - close to PCH, John Wayne airport is almost across the street yet quiet. I can see the planes taking off in the morning but with the slider closed, don't notice them.

The food in the restaurant is outstanding - seriously. One of the reasons I keep coming back and look forward to it - and the customer service in all departments is outstanding!

Room Tip: I like the original building opposed to the wing. Rooms are bigger, I think and you are closer to the lobby and restaurant and pool.

First of all, I would like to say that the staff was impeccable and very accommodating. Rooms were basic, not too impressive, and needing upgrades, but they were clean. Had some issues with finicky hot/cold water controls, but nothing that was a deal breaker. Surprisingly quiet for being right next to the airport. Can't say enough again about the staff.
