Beautiful room... Love the modern edge to the furnishings....But they should warn you and provide water for the hike to the LOBY....Check in was graet and very helpful in providing info for a Great Seafood restaurant....Wish my visit was longer....but do the traffic it was a brief visit

We stayed for 4 nights on our road trip from San Fran to San Dieago. The staff were tremendous, the 3 pools offered something different for multiple types of guests.

Valet parking was great and self park was ok if you fancied a walk.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, but overall, it was the staff who made our stay great. Thanks to all of you for a great time. See you next year.

My son and I recently visited the Hyatt newport beach for the 3rd time. The renovations they've completed the last few years are fantastic! What an adventure! We love the back gate to the Back Bay, where you can run, bike, walk, or go birding. The pools were beautiful, our room was quiet and immaculate, and the lobby is modern, airy, and just plain fun! The staff seemed to be as happy as we were; everyone was just so pleasant and helpful. The gal at the breakfast bar remembered just how my son liked his mocha frappe chino by the second day he ordered it. This is not a hotel- it's an adventure. I even swam laps in the oasis pool early in the morning. I can't say enough about this beautiful resort hotel! One more things- the grounds are so beautiful!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room overlooking the oasis pool. The view of the back bay is serene.

Been here many times over 20 years. Great location, quiet and recently updated. Lot of walking though as it is spread out and a lot of up and down. Parking lot is a long way away. They are not afraid to ask premium prices, but location counts.

Room Tip: Upstairs away from the pool areas.

We were here for a wedding. There are multiple buildings on rooms, so I think the distance from the main area might depend on how many people are staying in your room. We had 2 beds and we were in a room at the very edge of the resort. Although the check in lady said we had a view of the golf course, unfortunately since we were on the first floor, our view was of the hill on the edges of the golf course - which was fine because we were only sleeping in our room. There are 3 separate pools in the whole place. The one near our room seemed to be the quietest and least crowded, but we were close to the gym. If you have kids, I'd recommend trying to get a room closest to the kid pool so your children don't have to wander around the whole resort just to get back to the room. We didn't use our computer while we were there so I'm not sure how reliable or how much the internet is. If you do decide to self-park, I recommend parking near the staircase towards the back from the entrance/exit of the parking lot - otherwise you'll find yourself walking up the hill. Fashion Island (outdoor mall) is roughly a 5 minute drive away from the hotel. If you don't feel like driving, there is a shuttle that leaves every 2 hours - I think. Overall, I would say this is a good choice hotel.

I stayed at the Hyatt in early August 2014 and found it to be quite the happening place. They have a summer music night on Fridays with different performers throughout the summer. It is held in a small amphitheater, with plenty of night life after the excellent performers! You're only a few minutes from the spectacular Huntington beach area and just s few more miles up Pacific Coast Highway 1, you're in Newport Beach with the great assortment of restaurants. Also, shopping at Fantasy Island and the shops on Balboa Island. I used the Par 3, ( hole golf course to brush up my chip shots with a great view from the 8th tee into the Back Bay. The service was efficient and friendly. It is an excellent location to explore Southern California with prices to match. Thank you Hyatt Regency Newport Beach for excellent stay. I'm sure I'll stay there again on my next trip to SoCal. At the hotel, you can take advantage of 1 of 2 pools. All in all, the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach is an excellent hotel, in an excellent location!

Room Tip: If you're looking for a view, request an upper level Back Bay view. If you're there for the...

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fun time. Clean room. Kids enjoyed the giant chess set, shuffleboard and pools. Very good breakfast at SHOR restaurant. Cafe in lobby with good breakfast options and Starbucks converts into a bar in the afternoon.
