Wow, I don't understand some of the other reviews on the restaurant! A group of 13 motorcycle riders ate lunch here today (at least 3rd or 4th time in the past year) and it was absolutely exceptional! Chicken fried steak (specialty) with white gravy and mashed potatoes --- one of the best I've ever had. Others tried the breakfast menu --- looked fantastic, burger with bacon --- great --- very lean in contrast to standard bacon add-ons with 90% fat. Chicken pot pie was full plate size and remarked as exceptional--- did I mention that seconds are welcomed at no extra charge? Salads, biscuits and gravy, chicken wings, etc etc etc --- all looked particularly spectacular! Great atmosphere featuring John Wayne, cowboy theme --- and day after St Patrick's Day --- all were wearing green wigs, etc, etc. In summary, great food, reasonably priced, superb service, clean restrooms ---- did I mention the apple pie with vanilla ice cream --- thought I was in heaven. Even better, the "senior gentleman/ owner" visited with us to insure that we enjoyed our food and service ~~~ absolutely! Granted, this is not a lean cuisine venue --- but if you are looking for a superb, pleasant, casual, great value eatery while visiting Oaktree Village ~~~ you will not find a better location. For all of you "high value lunch eateries", this should serve as the model for perfection!

They serve a different menue during "Apple Season" than the rest of the year. We were disappointed. In the off season they serve a multi course family style dinner that was great, but we went again during apple season and were disappointed we could not get that. the menu seemed like it was designed to get tourists in and out with maximum revenue for the restaurant.

Arrived at Apple Annie's about 12:45 pm on a Wednesday. The shops were literally empty but the parking lot was full. We found out where all the people were when we entered the restaurant. It was packed with people in black business suits apparently participating in a business retreat. I can tell you that the restaurant does not have near enough room to accomodate a large business convention. However, they seemed to have them packed in everywhere. We walked in and the waitress said sharply, "You can seat yourselves in the back, that's the only place you're going to get served." That's an understatement. We sat there for 15 minutes while the waitresses catered to the business suits without even getting menus or even an occasional acknowledging glance. Feeling we were inconveniences, rather than customers, we got up and left. We were planning on a trip next week with my sister-in-law and her granddaughter but will probably go to Knott's Berry Farm instead.

I've been going to Apple Annie's for years. Good spot for taking the family for breakfast / brunch, but I'm not as big a fan of their lunch menu (although their giant breadbowl chili and Deluxe burger are pretty good!).

The staff is friendly and accommodating. We had a large party and it was a particularly crowded day, they did a great job of serving our group.

Love the 5lbs apple pies from the bakery. You can buy it by the slice in the restaurant, but we usually are so full we just buy a pie to take home. Delicious!!

It can get VERY crowded here on the weekends. They don't take reservations. You have to stand in line. Today the line was all way to the end of the building (about 30-40 min wait) to get a table. Parking was a bit crazy too. We were lucky and found spots as soon as we got there, but we saw cars just circling the parking lot over and over again, waiting for people to leave.
