“A bit slow for a large group”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

About 20 people for dinner. We gave the restaurant advance notice. We started in the very nice bar/lounge, and eventually moved to the dinning room, which was all set up for us. The food was good and lots of it! The poor server did her best, but it took nearly an hour for everyone to get their meal. Call us crazy, but we went back the next evening. This time they were better prepared and we had two servers. They did a good job handling even more people than the first night!
I would recommend this restaurant to friends!

“Waiter tried -- a bit too hard perhaps -- to make up for awful food and lousy atmosphere.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

Nice waiter but food was bad -- vegetables overcooked and mushy; fish bland and overdone. Maybe steak eaters would do better. Another problem for a restaurant attached to a hotel: kitchen closes at 9 p.m. We saw at least one weary-looking couple being turned away when they showed up a few minutes past 9. Bizarre decor that appeared to be comprised of castoffs from your great-great-aunt's garage sale. Better to hit Sweetwater steak house up the road, or El Cid.

“huge portions good steaks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

We used the bar and restaurant whilst staying at the hotel next door. The food was very good steaks particularly as were the breakfasts. The portions were rediculously large so don't have a starter.

Nice bar with a good selection of local beers. The thing I really liked about it was that its used by locals who were great to talk to about the area.

“Generous portions, delicious food and friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

The food here was simple but delicious. If you are not a big eater you could easily share just one main meal (either at breakfast or dinner) between two people. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. During the busy period on Saturday morning it did take quite a long time for our meals to come or for us even to order, so if you're in a rush try to come at less popular times. Also, if you stay at the adjoining hotel, you get a 25% discount off your meals.

“Great food and beautiful setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

We stayed at the hotel connected to the restaurant. We got in late one evening after touring Sequoia National Forest and getting ready to tour Yosemite the next day, we needed a meal and decided we didn't want to drive anywhere so we would eat at the hotel restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was great, hot and plentiful-more than we could eat. We both had pasta dishes, the creamy pasta alfredo was excellent. Our waitress was very personable and friendly.
