I suppose being close to the amazing Yosemite means you can cut a few corners - like looking after your guests. Firstly this is a decent, basic hotel with great rooms and nice little extras in the form of the little pool area and self-service breakfast, which was did the job. 20-30 mins from south entrance depending on traffic and another hour to the valley.

The hotel failed for us on its customer service. Complete lack of welcome unlike everywhere else we stayed across the US. No check in until 4pm was strictly enforced, the last thing you need after a six hour drive. I had to plead with the disinterested receptionist for a place to leave our luggage, who refused until finally a voice from the backroom told her we could leave it in the lobby at our own risk. Attempted additional charges for a roll away bed both at check-in and again at check-out despite the fact that it was purchased in advance.
Not a big enough blip to impact on such an amazing experience - but what does it cost to be nice to travelers?
Tip - hike the Panorama Trail.

This hotel was clean and the rooms were good size, plenty big enough for a family of four. The breakfast area was nice with plenty to choose from including do it yourself waffles. The seating area was rather small though for breakfast but we were on the first floor so we brought our food back to our room.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and I usually try to reserve a room on the top floors because of noise. I...

OK...so between realizing we were being ripped off and rectifying it, we had a horrible experience. We arrived at the hotel and were shown an itemized receipt showing that our stay was over priced by over $150 by our booking agent. We contacted the booking agent, and demanded a reprint of our receipt which was not granted to us because we were told it was a complete mistake that we were shown it in the first place. The booking agent tried to contact the hotel to figure out why were we made known of the discrepancy and the two ladies at the front desk, Jolisa and Janet, refused to speak with the representative. All the while we were sitting in the foyer typing to the booking rep. Not only did we hear the two front desk ladies mocking us and our situation, but other European tourists who wouldn't know English very well. This also happened during the morning with the two people at the front desk. So unprofessional! DO NOT stay at this hotel. The smell is moldly in the rooms and the service is horrendous. We work for a popular tourism magazine and this has to top the worst of the worst. Breakfast consisted of cereal and do-it-yourself waffles...I doubt our booking agency will ever deal with this
hotel after our complaints. Thanks Janet and Jolissa! You made our stay memorable - too bad it was for all the wrong reasons...

This hotel is about 15 minutes from the south entrance to the park, but it is another hour to Yosemite valley. The rooms were large for the four of us. The breakfast was limited and if you came at a busy time there is not enough seating and the buffet is not refilled quickly. Overall, a good hotel for the area.

Great location to the southern of Yosemite. Huge rooms with fridges and microwaves. Very clean. Self service breakfast works well providing you miss the peak time. Pool area compact but again very clean. Laundry room works well for cleaning gear.
Could into fault the stay.

Room Tip: Go for a rear facing room to reduce road noise.

This hotel is located close to the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The hotel is a little dated, but it has many redeeming qualities. The staff is excellent. I travel a ton and have rarely met such happy people. The rooms are very large with room for all of your gear. They also have a fridge and microwave in the rooms. The breakfast is average, but its free. For the money it really is a good hotel.

Nice place to stay, but does need a seating area for breakfast and a better selection. Had to stand and eat. Besides that, the rooms were ample and location perfect. The pool area was kinda compact. The Staff was very friendly.
