We stayed for two nights in June and had the room with a lovely large decked area outside. Very relaxing with wonderful views. The stars at night were spectacular. Room was spacious as was the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast included which was different each day. Owners were very helpful but not intrusive. Gave us the run of the pool and gardens.

Room Tip: Ask for the one with the large decked area

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2014 in The Red Rose room which has it's own entrance, beautiful views, deck, spa bath, comfy bed, everything you could wish for.

The hosts, Mary and Steve are a lovely, warm, welcoming couple who make it feel like home.

The breakfasts were beautiful and home cooked with food to line your stomach before a hike around Yosemite! Plus the breakfast is communal with the other guests and makes for an interesting start to the day. During our time there were 2 other lovely couples from Chicago and France, it was lovely to chat with them all over breakfast. And the coffee is to die for, something which Steve is very proud of!!

The location was perfect for us as we weren't too fussed about staying in the park itself. It didn't take long to drive and Oakhurst is such a lovely little town with everything you could need. A trip to the Southgate Brewery for food and beers is a must!

I don't have one negative comment about A Bed of Roses and we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: I didn't see all the rooms but would highly recommend The Red Rose room.

My wife and I made our first trip out to Yosemite just a week ago and had a wonderful time. This place made us feel like we were home. The owner's are fantastic, the property is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are clean. Breakfast was outstanding and will certainly fill you up for a long day ahead! I have talked about this place since we left and wish I could return for longer than our original stay.

Please consider staying here if you're looking for a place that has everything to offer.
Overall- it's a nice piece of property ran by great people who care about the comfort of your stay.

Had a wonderful one night stay in June with Mary Kay and Steve. Very close to Yosemite and after a long day in the park they were very welcoming and let us use their pool to cool off which was great. Very comfortable bedroom with everything we needed. They gave us great advice regarding local restaurants and had a very enjoyable dinner in the town. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous with home cooked food and great conversation with our hosts. Would thoroughly recommend - Sue & David, Hampshire, England

We loved our stay here. We had 5 nights, which we gather is longer than most people, and the breakfasts were fabulous and different every day (never had a breakfast burrito before!) It was very enjoyable to chat to others and share useful experiences.

We were in the Wild Rose which was comfortable and had all we needed, but you do have to be quite sprightly to climb into the bathtub and be careful not to splash with the shower head (perhaps a shower curtain could be added?) The spa bubblers are great after some stiff cllimbs in the Park, but are too noisy to be used after 10pm.
If you demand minimalist chic decor or want to avoid other people you might be disappointed, but we thought it was all lovely.

Steve and Mary Kay were charming and most helpful, even lending us chairs for a quiet day on the beach at Bass Lake, a nice contrast to serious National Park sight-seeing. They seem to love what they are doing. We swam in the pool every day, plenty warm enough for us Brits at the end of June. It was a lovely place to sit out, and you could bring in food and eat on the terrace - Raley's excellent supermarket in the town is open until 11pm and takeaway salads made a nice break from constant restaurant spending. Wanting to spend every possible daylight minute in the Park, we found it a challenge to fit in time to eat as we didn't fancy more than an hour's drive back down the winding road in the dark.

It would have been great to stay in the Park itself but accomodation is very limited and at premium prices - or camping. We did manage a cold drink in the Awahnee Hotel, which is gorgeous and well worth exploring both upstairs (the Ladies restrooms are there) and down.

Our first day in the Park was a Saturday, which was horribly busy and very difficult to park in the Valley and gave us a bad impression, but Monday and Tuesday were brilliant. The walk up Sentinel Dome is a must (though quite strenuous!), the view from Glacier Point stunning but gives less satisfaction as you can drive there. At our age (66) making it up to the Vernal Falls base was certainly satisfying! (even more satisfying for the one who got to the top!!)

El Cid Mexican down the road was very good value, you do have to drive to somewhere to eat out.
Altogether a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: The Wild Rose is the bigger of the two 2-person rooms, but you do have to climb up into a bathtub, a...

We stayed August 2013 and couldn't have asked for a more perfect night in Yosemite! The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was close to Yosemite Park and a town with a supermarket to stock up. we were able to watch the sun rise followed by a amazing home made breakfast. The whole experience here was far more then we expected from a BnB. The owners are fantastic hosts and really make you feel like you're welcome and at home. Can't thank them enough for all the information they gave us. Kierra & Ben :) From London, England

Steve and Mary Kay were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious - the best of our trip. Our room had a private entrance which was nice. The B&B is convenient to Yosemite and Oakhurst, which has a lot of restaurant options for dinner. The room was older but very spacious and clean. We loved our visit and would stay there again. I highly recommend A Bed Of Roses.

Room Tip: There was a nice pool however it was too cool for us to use it on our trip.
