We had high expectations and along with the high cost we're looking forward to our stay here. alas we left slightly disappointed, i will explain why.
Firstly lets say the hosts and food provided we're top notch, friendly to the end and home cooked food each morning.
The room however, The Country Rose, didn't quite work, the bedroom is quite small and dominated by the double bed, which oddly is made to face away from the TV ? There is little room for luggage. The bathroom by comparison is quite large with a whirlpool bath and fridge. No safe. One other issue is the bedroom wall adjoins the kitchen so you are woken each day at 6.20am by kitchen noise.
The pool area and grounds seemed slightly unkempt, to be honest we weren't even sure at first if the pool was usable.
Parking is also tight if all rooms are full and lighting not great if returning at night.
Breakfast is served at 8am sharp in a family type arrangement with a selection of products presented, i am unsure if alternatives could be requested, none we're offered outwardly.
Ps, be aware Yosemite gates may well be 15 mins drive, but the valley is a good 30 mins further.
Overall we just didn't feel the property and condition reflected the £140 a night price tag, despite great hosts and great food. Sorry folks.
