This is not a top of the line Theatre like the ones you can find in L.A. or other major cities, but that's not the point. There is a country Theatre that shows a limited, but current selection of movies and that is great.
Very thankful that some people figured out how to save this great source of entertainment

This theater was recently reopened by a group of bright and energetic young people. However, unless you're willing to pay a monthly membership fee, you will pay $11 per person to view a movie---way too much for this small town. Snack bar needs improvements.

The theater sadly closed in late 2012. With the help of Matt Sconce, Keith Walker and James Nelson they reopened. We love going the movies at The Met Cinema.

There's quite a story about this theater. You'll find out about it just by talking to people in the lobby or before a show. The locals who bought into this place to save it get free films regularly. As a visitor, you can buy an all day pass, and the charge for the second person is reasonable. They stagger the 6 theaters so you can move from one film to the other. When we visited, all films were current. Projection and sound were excellent. And the refreshments were reasonably priced. Not used to that.

After several days of driving we took a day to veg out and enjoy films we had missed. Right move for us.

Just one strange thing. I'd never seen cup holders like the ones in this facility. You can reposition them for your convenience. You have to see it to believe it.

Love this little theater.
Nice and comfortable, it has up to date releases in a small town atmosphere!
