This was our second visit to A Haven of Rest. My husband and I were delighted with the hospitality and comfort of our accommodations and hosts. Last year we went during a scorching summer. This year we went during the fall. We were able to enjoy the warmth of the outdoor spa. Jody brought our breakfasts to our room. Loved my waffles with blueberries. Fantastic thick bacon. On our last morning, we had the option of having a pork chop. Mike made an extra one, thin and crispy. Because we had an early morning tour in Yosemite, Jody provided a breakfast we could take with us, fruit, boiled eggs and the most delicious blueberry muffin loaf! That bed was so incredibly comfortable, firm enough for my husband but so luxurious I felt myself sink in.it was so nice to be able to knit in the sitting room in the evening. Jody even told us they extended the gravel in their driveway so that their guests would be in the shade of the trees to avoid a hot car. A family of deer visited the garden daily and we saw them at other homes nearby when we took an afternoon walk. I appreciated every detail that made our stay so memorable, from the fridge where I could keep my insulin to the robes in the bedroom for our use. Everything was clean, wish we could visit more often. This is the first bed and breakfast we ever tried and it has become the standard which we will compare any other B&B that we might try in the future. Only regret was that we could not bring our dog.
