I stayed at this hotel for a weekend trip to Yosemite, mainly because I had a free night. At first impression, it may look like a dump, due to the front being unattractive, and being located next to a dive bar. The lobby area, does look neat, and the rooms are also very basic, but also very clean. It was better than the Econo Lodge I stayed in Orlando, and the Quality Inn in San Juan.

The rooms were spacious (big enough for a dining table), had comfortable beds, HDTVs, and a seperate sink and shower area. They were all very clean, if only basic. on room 132, the wood lining on the mirror is falling apart, and the water knob on the tub is also wobbly and slightly detached on the wall. The carpet can be used with a lighter color. Other than those, everything worked fine, which was to me, much more important than living in a 5 star luxury resort.

Also, their free breakfast includes hot food (sausage, eggs, waffles) in addition to pastries, cereals, bread, and fruit. One downside is that the dining area is very small. They have both inside, and outside seating, but if you get there after 8, both sides are already full, and you have to eat in your room. But they already have a sign in the dining room apologizing for the small dining area...

If you want a 5 star luxury resort with first class beautiful rooms, go somewhere else and pay over $350/night. If you want a basic inn at much less than half the cost, in which everything works fine, that won't disappoint you, then come here =)

We spent two nights here while visiting Yosemite. The hotel is about 14 miles from the entrance gate at Yosemite. Our hotel check in and out was fast. Our room was good sized with a refrigerator and microwave. There is a sink outside the bathroom with a nice sized counter. We did have a little issue with the door locking. You need to make sure that the handle is pulled up outside. There is a small but very nice pool between this two story hotel that some families were enjoying. Pool capacity is under 30 people. The price was not cheap but I heard there were not many if any vacancies in the area. Breakfast starts at 7:00 and was well supplied but the area so small that most people could not find seating. Area became so congested due to one-way in and out. Lobby is huge so it is a shame the some of that area was not available for the breakfast. Due to the breakfast issue we could not chance having breakfast at the hotel before our tour which picked us up at 7:50. We would recommend the hotel as a good option for families and others visiting Yosemite.

Room Tip: Did not see an elevator

We were a bit apprehensive about this place, but very pleasantly surprised by our experience. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, particularly good beds (and no back pain for once getting up!). The only downside was the wifi access which was painfully slow. Breakfast was also a bit chaotic in a smallish space, but food was plentiful and decent quality.

I've stayed here off and on throughout the years. It was decent and reasonably priced. Still is in my opinion. And if you appreciate updated decor then you will like this hotel even more. Very modern styling, different from the dated decor it had about 5+ years ago. Rooms are clean and furniture is solid, not flimsy. Perhaps my only complaint... The light bulbs used. There's nothing truly wrong with them, but personally, I get migraine headaches. Those daylight bulbs with the bright white light can bring on one for me. If you're sensitive to this, perhaps consider calling ahead to see if they can be changed, deal with it, or maybe bring your own. Other than that, it's worth staying here. You'll appreciate the location as well.

Spent 4 nights here in July as a base for visiting Yosemite. We had a family suite which was great for our family of four as it gave us some extra space. Beds very comfy and it was pretty quiet which was surprising as it's on the main road. Very convenient to restaurants and the Kids enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was also good and made the start of the day and the drive to the park a little easier. Everything was clean and even on a day we didn't leave until noon our room was cleaned. We ate at the Chinese place next door, crab cakes send round house pizza. All were very good. Would definitely recommend round house pizza if you're looking for pizza. And d's laundromat behind the McDonald's was a quick stop for laundry before we moved on with our vacation.
