“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

This is a very nice hotel that has been recently upgraded. We were upgraded to the 3 bedroom suite which had a pull out couch. The room had 2 flat screen TVs and a huge bathroom.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The outdoor pool was a little small but nice. They also have a hot tub and an indoor pool.

The hotel is about 30 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. Then you have another 45-60 drive to the Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point.

The city of Oakhurst is nice. Plenty of shopping and dining.

Stayed here with family of five for trip to Yosemite. Good location with large double room. AC was very loud, internet connection was intermittent. Refrigerator too small for our needs.

Fitness 'Center' had limited hours as well as the laundry.

Stay away from the on-site restaurant. Dinner was poor.

Room Tip: Suite rooms are secluded and quiet. Parking can be tight if the hotel is full.

Stayed for two nights enjoying the magnificent Yosemite National Park.

Obviously, this is not a five star hotel, but both the room and the service was very good, although it once again showed difficult for the cleaning staff to give the correct no. of towels. There was a nice balcony with a small table and two chairs

The only thing to complain about was the aircondition and the fact that the balcony was in the middle of the backside of all the air-conditions from the rooms meaning that it didn’t make sense to use the very nice balcony – at least not during Summer, when airconditions are running.

The breakfast was with a 25% percent discount for hotel guests, and I can only recommend the breakfast. We also had dinner at the restaurant, but this was more of a mixed experience.

As good as any place within 45-60 minutes of Yosemite.

Nice rooms with spectacularly fascinating murals....there is art everywhere....we counted over 100 pieces of art in the breakfast area ;-D

Not fancy, a bit dated but everything you could need. Good TV and good internet service. Very nice grounds with pools, landscaping etc.

Room had a fridge and a microwave, bathroom has huge and basic.

Breakfast will run you $10/person and the service is slightly below average.

Stayed for three nights while visiting Yosemite. The place has nice grounds and comfortable rooms. It's a good location to the park but be prepared to drive quite a bit if visiting the park. It's about 25 minutes to the park entrance and then a good hour to the valley floor and glacier point. The Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias is quite close though. The pool and hot tub are small and have limited chairs but they were both fine. Opted not to eat at the restaurant but I did go and have a drink at the bar. Nice views from the bar area but the place is pretty outdated. The town offers some decent food choices and there is a popular new brewery just up the road.

We've stayed at the BW Yosemite Gateway Inn 2 or 3 times and have been pleased with it each time.
The hotel is nicely laid out in that the rooms go up the hill, as opposed to along busy Highway 41. The rooms are decent sized and all the ones we've stayed in had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. There is are indoor and outdoor pools, a couple little grassy areas for kids to play, and a small play structure, which is nice if your kids have been in the car for three hours and need to burn some energy. The hotel is in general very quiet and the two room "suites" are nice if you have a family.
We have family in this area and stay here each time we come up.
The restaurant on the property wasn't great the last time we were there, so we ate a place down the road for breakfast. It may have improved, but we skipped it this time.

Good hotel, nicely maintained and a very short drive from the park. There's no breakfast which was a bit odd for a Best Western Plus but you do get a discount at the hotel restaurant though we opted for the Denny's down the street.
