Lots of varieties of fortune cookies-from chocolate, strawberry and green tea. A bit tricky to find but ask any of the locals and they will help you out. Really friendly and patient staff, it was busy when we went and the staff were great. Worth a visit!

We loved this tour. It's wonderful to hear the history behind this historic, family-owned factory and see how the family has managed to simultaneously honor tradition, while innovating new ideas to grow and expand. In a era where big business and automation is king, it gave me great satisfaction to see an Oakland institution cranking out fortune cookies by hand and keeping tradition alive. It feels important to me to support a business like this one. Plus you get to eat a lot of cookies.

Small factory but really interesting. Tour is just right amount of time for kids, and the tour guide was friendly and answered all our questions.
The sample cookies were delicious!

A small shop up an alley way, good fun and lots of different cookies. You can even have your own messages put into your own cookies..
Fascinating to watch the ladies make the cookies, add the slip of paper and seal them.

We took the tour and it was really fun and also very interesting- and Alicia who gave us the tour is so sweet! The cookies are really yummy too! It's definitely a little gem in Oakland. Great for younger kids because the tour is short- about 15-20 minutes or so. Would definitely recommend!

Free which is nice. Quick little stop that only takes about 5 minutes. Fun to see how fortune cookies are made. You can even make your own fortune cookie for about a buck. It is literally located down a side alley but don’t be scared lol! It is a nice little alley and has some good restaurants at the other end as well.

I was a bit sceptical at the beginning, when i arrived at the Factory itself but the daughters owner did an amazing job giving me a tour of the factory but also explaining 'how they started the business' and how it all works.

Before you think of going, pls ensure you are pick a time/date from the website, so they are aware that someone is coming - its a tiny space so always good to know.

I did my tour straight after Halloween so i had the pleasure to get a few Halloween fortunes - definitely worth it. BTW everything is handmade and you are able to taste while you getting a tour.

Not masses to see so don’t book out too much of your day, maybe combine with the cable car museum as your walking back into the city. It’s ammusing to watch the stark realisation in everyone’s faces as it becomes apparent how easy they are to make. If you make a purchase the staff will often put lots of additional cookie discs in your bag.
Hot tip:
Worth a visit to grab a packet for the token office gift after your travels!

This store is in a small back alley in Chinatown. There's a line to get in and you can actually see them making the fortune cookies-but there's really not much to see and you won't spend more than 5 to 10 minutes there. But you can write your own fortunes and have them put your fortunes into fortune cookies for you and the cookies may be the best I've ever tasted. Not necessarily worth a trip here just to do this, but if you're in Chinatown, I would definitely recommend stopping by.
