My party of 4 had a private tour in September. It was comped because we knew an owner of some local restaurants. The cost would have been $50 per person. I assume that we got the same tour as everyone. We did sit in a separate wine tasting room rather than in the lobby area where another tour was tasting. My only complaint is that our tour guide was the least enthusiastic of any tour guide we encountered (We also toured St Suppery, Rutherford Hills, Castillo do Amerosa). She also worked in the business department of the winery and we believe she needed to get back to her main employment duties. As everyone says in their reviews the grounds and building are beautiful. You do see the caves and the auto barn containing about 25 exotic and vintage autos. You do not see any bottling facilities nor do they take you into the vineyards. The grapes were being brought in for the crush so we saw a little of that. The wine was very good and very expensive. They set up the glasses in advance and you taste 4 or 5 that they select. Because it was private, it was a very enjoyable tasting experience, If you appreciate fine wine and can afford the tour price you should include this winery on your tour list.
