Stayed earlier this month with family members that are in the ownership group. No problems with facility and easy access to town (only a few minutes away). Nice pleasant walk through inner harbour and "fishing village" stores and restaurants and you are out on the beach. We were on third floor with room towards water (and train tracks). Train noise was hardly noticable. Other side of building with walkway to rooms and towards freeway seemed to be noisier. One complaint I would have is the relentless soliciting of the family members to attend "free breakfast" sales pitch.

Room Tip: In our opinion, the bedrooms towards beach and train tracks was less noisy than east side facing fre...

Just got home from a 5 day stay here. This is the first time we have used our ownership here. I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helped us out with all our questions. The room was great as always. Standard Worldmark. Fully updated and painted. I was worried about the sound of the train and the Interstate, but we were not bothered at anytime and had the door open most of the time while there. The walk to the beach is safe and very quick. I really enjoyed the walk past the harbor. The locals are very friendly and we talked to everyone we ran into. The beaches there are great. Clean and very safe. It rained for 2 days while we were there but that didn't stop anyone. The surfers were out in full force. The bikers, runners, walkers...everyone! What a great place to visit! I would recommend it to anyone.

Travelling with my parents, niece and nephew, my husband and our 2 kids. We booked 2 two bedroom apartments for 8 nights. We had so much space and after travelling from Australia and NZ the extra space and quiet rooms helped us get over the jet lag a lot quicker. My parents couldn't believe how great the rooms were. We had a fantastic time travelling to Lego land, Sea world and we also took advantage of the shopping nearby. A friend who is a local to the area took us on a tour of San Diego. I don't think I even noticed the trains and the walk to the beach was pleasant. We loved being able to cook as restaurants for 8 get way to expensive.
Pool and hot tub were great.
I would recommend this place for everyone. Left here to stay in Anaheim for another 7 nights.

We acquired this room from a travel club back in May. I have updated photos that show the current condition of the facility. They will ask if you want to listen to a 90-minute time-share presentation. We said no, and that was it. No pressure from the lady we spoke with. We had a 2-bedroom unit with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer stack. I’ll list the pros and cons of the facility.
Pros:
1. Rooms nicer than I expected based on older pictures.
2. Pools – Regular, Kids, and Hot tub
3. Basketball Court
4. Tennis Court
5. Kids play area
6. Walking distance to the wharf and beach. Basically walk across a parking lot and you’re there at the wharf. There are restaurants and shops
7. Clean facility.

Cons:
1. No sample shampoo or conditioner to get you through the first day until you can make it to a store. (Not a big deal, but wasn’t expecting it. There was a bar of soap.)
2. Linen – You have to take it down to a lower garage and exchange it. There is no room service. Normally after 3-4 days during a one-week visit, you’ll get new sheets. towels, etc. Here you do your own sheets. Surely a cost savings here.
3. Noise – The train wasn’t as bad as the freeway traffic. Most days we were up going to Universal, Disneyland, or Sea World so it didn’t matter. But the days we slept in, I could hear the traffic. We were on the fourth floor and I could hear people talking in the parking lot below. The windows are dual paned, but very thin and that is the cause of the noise. Upgraded windows would help immensely.

We spent a week with three separate families in two units with kids ranging in age from 3 to 12 and everyone loved the hotel. Oceanside is great the rooms are very clean and big. From the balcony we did have a slight ocean view but the hotel isn't far from the beach and harbor. All kids made the walk to and from the ocean every time. The pool is nice and the extra 1' kiddy pool was a HUGE bonus for us. I hated leaving this condo and would absolutely stay here again!

For a fun dinner experience take some charcoal to the beach and have a little bbq in one of the beach picnic areas, walking distance from the hotel. Each unit also has a gas bbq on the balcony but the beach bbq at sunset was great!

Family vacation. Had 3 of the 1 bedroom condos. All clean and well stocked. Had minimal ocean view. Nice pools. Will try to sell you a timeshare. Have to know how to say NO. Staff friendly and helpful. About a 5 to 7 minute walk to the pier and about 10 minute walk to the beach. Easily do-able with small children. There is a train that runs along the rear of the property but did not bother us. Easy access to highway. Oceanside does have a lovely pier with assorted shops and good restaurants. Nice beach.

We have stayed at this resort many times and each time is a little different. This time we stayed in a studio due to the lack of one bedroom availbility. The resort grounds are beautiful and very well maintained - Birds of Paradise in bloom against lush green grass - large and small palm trees, and the ocean in the background. What could be better? I'll tell you - sound proofing.
The location is sandwiched in between Interstate 5 and the beach, but with train tracks between the resort and the beach. This is by far the noisiest resort we have every stayed at. The commuter train which runs between downtown San Diego and Los Angeles runs constantly and the freeway is also constant noise. If Worldmark wants to improve the property, rather than landscaping and painting, they should replace the windows with triple pane, and change out the doors to a sound deadening type. That would help this place immensly. That being said, the rest of the experience here is usually always good. The real downside to this resort and all of the other Worldmark resorts is that Wyndham has installed their high pressure sales pitch when you check in. Check in is painless, but then you hear those dreaded words -"you have to go over to the other desk to get your parking pass." This is nothing more than a ploy to get you to attend an "owners update" where you will be hammered by slick salesmen to buy credits. The Worldmark resort system uses a credit system whereby you buy a certain number of credits which then can be used to stay at any of their numerous locations. Usually politely turning down the offer to attend a meeting will set you free, but the pot is sweetened when the desk agent offers you a $75 American Express gift card to attend. They will promise you the meeting is a no obligation 45 minute presentation. I can tell you that I have been a Worldmark owner since 1995, and have attended many of these presentations - none have ever been 45 minutes - they usually last a minimum of an hour and a half, and sometimes longer. If you have the time, and the will power to say no, then it is a way to pick up a free gift card. Be aware, however, that you will be sacrificing a good chunk of your valuable time.
The resort is currently undergoing remodeling and updating, which is a good thing. The renovated rooms feature nice furniture and carpeting, all units have a washer and dryer, and usually granite countertops.
All in all, this is a nice resort with a great location half way between LA and San Diego. Just remember to bring ear plugs.

Room Tip: Worldmark is a private resort, but you can stay as a guest if you know someone who is an owner. Che...
