“Healthy Foods in a very Caliifornia atmosphere”
Reviewed 5 September 2012

Great breakfasts on the weekend and health sandwiches and soups. Always a crowd but the line goes down quick. Sit outside and watch the beach scene go by.

“A Burger, a "Scrambler", and Two Smoothies”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

Without a doubt, this was one of the best burgers I have ever had, the Spinach-Feta Cheese with a Bun That Stayed TOGETHER ! For The WHOLE Burger. Usually, the bigger, better burger BUNS fall apart BEFORE you finish the burger; it happens a whole lot.

The "Scrambler" was a Splendid Mix of Eggs, Cactus (Nopalitos), Veggies, and a delicious blend of other tastes, not too hot ... for you Gringos !

Their Smoothies were offered in many wonderful flavors and really Superb.

“Good food from a place with a counterculture vibe.”
Reviewed 5 May 2012

Grapefruit smoothy -- the menu puckishly warns diners that they must like grapefruit. It was tart and very nice.

Mahi mahi wrap -- a few pieces of grilled mahi mahi with mostly fresh lettuce, brown rice (the palest variety), thinly sliced avocado. The side of fresh fruit had honeydew melon, cantaloupe, sliced strawberries, several blackberries, one small chunk of pineapple, plus one stray strand of avocado.

Lobster Eggs Benedict -- chunks of lobster, two eggs, green and red leaf lettuce. Tasty, very nice, a home run.

The restaurant's speakers play lots of California based rock bands and unfortunately too many crooners from every part of the country.

Near the entrance, there is a community service bulletin board that is covered with many small pieces of paper of many different colors. The decor could be a university cafeteria's or a counterculture coffee shop's. The staff is friendly, have long conversations with steady customers, and provide attentive, quick service.

Will I return? Yes. Will I recommend it? Yes.

“Exotic menu and excellent service”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

At first glance you may think this is just your typical coffee shop, but a second look at the menu board reveals a wide array of tasty and health-conscious breakfast and lunch options as well. I tried the acai bowl and date smoothie and was very impressed with both. On request, one of the servers, Noah, whipped up a caramel macchiato, even though it wasn't technically on their official menu, and it was the best caramel macchiato I'd ever tasted.

This place is a must if you're staying in Oceanside or just passing through on the 5. It's conveniently located just off the highway and well-worth the short detour if you want a meal that's not only delicious, but also healthy, in a comfy and fun seaside cafe environment.
