I am a local who spends a lot of time at the Ojai Valley Inn. I was one of the first guests at the Spa when it opened 15 years ago and I still consider it one of my favorite spas to visit. There is nothing better than meeting at the spa and starting the day off with a walk into town. There are always yoga and stretch classes first thing in the morning and then I make sure I book one or two special treatments, usually a massage and a facial. However, one of the best treatments is the Kuyam room. Then it is poolside to enjoy the rest of a relaxing day. The golf course is fabulous - very challenging with spectacular views. All of the restaurants are good - we do prefer Jimmie's pub - casual late-night eating and there is always a game on the TV's. This is definitely one of the most beautiful properties there are as far as hotels go. It has elegance and yet small town charm.

It winds through the hills and the front nine while quite short, has some interesting elevation and shot crossings. The back nine is special. Long par 3's and the 3 finishing holes are as good as it gets.

The spa services were excellent - staff were very well trained, friendly and courteous. I think communication with clients regarding appointments could be improved.

This course is pretty tricked up with many front nine blind carries over barrancas and no real idea of where hit. The general condition of the course was only fair. Soule Park is a nice alternative and a lot cheaper.

My husband had a great experience at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The course was beautiful but also challenging.
