this is a short and quite easy hike, but it leads to a really pretty waterfall. the falls were low, but it was still pretty. would be a great hike for kids.

“Beautiful, short walk.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2012

So I was here late December and there wasn't much of a water fall as a trickle - but it is still a gorgeous walk. Very short - I would say 15-20 minutes.
But there is a point in it where the sun hits the trees and you feel like you are in an enchanted forest!
About a 30-40 minute drive from Ojai center.

“Didn't make it to the falls but the ride up the hill was great.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2012

While in Ojai for a wedding I decided to take a bike ride up Rt. 33 to the Rose Valley Trail. This was recommended to me by the LBS (local bike shop) where I rented a first class Scott CF road bike. They warned me that after a couple of rolling hills the ride was going to be another 12 miles up. I got started at 7 AM and it took me about two hours to ride the 15 miles to the Rose Valley Trail cut off. Fortunately I had a tail wind to help me up the road and I stopped a couple of times to drink water. It was mostly shaded at that time of day and you pass through the entrance to the Los Padres National Forest and up the canyon. At the turn-a-round you aim straight down and don't stop till you almost reach Ojai. It was the first time for an Easterner like me to experience this kind of climb and decent. Don't know what the trail is like but the way up and down was a challenge and a thrill in that order. Give it a try
