I don't want to leave anyone with the wrong idea. This place is pretty great. The unit is big and comfortable. The furniture is all new. The location doesn't get any better.
However, there are some problems. I think this unit is a new rental, so some of the kinks need to be worked out. First is the privacy issue. The front doors are huge and all glass, with no curtain to be found. In other words, people driving down the 101 can look right in, particularly at night. There are barn doors that can be closed in front of these for privacy, but the key to lock them isn't provided, and they are aligned in a way that makes it impossible to block off part of the view.
Also, there is another window that has no coverings, so someone outside can look right in. This wouldn't be a huge issue if there weren't another unit in the same barn. If the tenants there are wandering the grounds, they're going to see my naked self walking around inside, and that doesn't work.
The place needs a trash can, too.
The bathroom is small, but workable.
Having said all of the above, I loved my stay. A herd of wild elk came and visited the property twice over the course of 4 days. Where else are you going to get that? If the owner/manager works out the few issues, this could be a top-notch place to stay.
