If you are looking for a luxury room this probably isn't the place for you. It was very utilitarian, and looked like it was probably a luxury room when the hotel was built but could use a refresh. The cleaning staff could do a little better job as well as the room looked a little disheveled and the bathroom wasn't entirely clean. There was also some confusion about our reservation caused by staff not being aware of current promotions, but it all worked out in the end.

Room aside the value was fantastic, our $140 package deal had about a $250 value. Dinner at the steak house was amazing and did live up to expectations. The hostess was polite and courteous and our server had great flare and style and really helped make our dinner great.

All in all we will definitely keep an eye out for future deals from Gold Country Casino and Hotel

Room Tip: Spa rooms have the Jacuzzi located in the bathroom and the tub is not made for 2.

My overall stay was pleasant. The hotel was nice, as always. However, if you are going to charge a deposit of any kind, it should be advertised with prices for rooms, as well as on the reciepts. Along with a list of reasons one would lose their deposit.

First things first, CONGRATULATIONS on your marriage.... Guest Service is something that we take very seriously and we invest a lot of time and effort in. I'm glad to hear that we're getting the job done and you enjoyed the Hotel. As for the "deposit" matter, we have signage posted at the front desk, we've included a notice in the Key Card Envelope, listed it on the Registration Card and in the Guest Directory. Our hope is that we've covered this sufficiently so that going forward everyone is fully informed about the deposit.

everything about my stay was awesome.... for it being my first time staying in a hotel ever I was very pleased with the service overall.... I do feel though that the hotels communicate could better on its website and in person for first timers and others alike about their deposits for their rooms.... me being a widowed mother of three children i have to save to be able to afford too have a night out....therefore i was unprepared for the deposit on the room and almost wasn't able to proceed with my weekend....so for my sake, their sake, and everyone elses in between ...who may or (MAY NOT) know about the hotel room deposit policy i feel it should be advised and also communicated in the registration invoice and at the front desk of the hotel! Not everyone comes prepared with more money then needed nor is everyone able to! Just a suggestion!

Anytime someone writes "this was my first stay and everything was awesome", that just makes my day! Guest Service is something that we take very seriously and we invest a lot of time and effort in. We've only been once, no rv hookups, but they don't mind you parking and camping over. Machines paid fairly well....you can stay a while and have fun w/o mortgaging the house. No playroom but a bowling alley w/in walking dist.

It would be great if GCC could pump more oxygen into their casino floor & bingo room. We would have enjoyed the steakhouse & breakfast more if we didn't feel so sweaty & nauseous from the smoke & lack of oxygen. Had to leave both early & take our food to go. We felt much better after we left the restaurants and casino area. The room was HUGE and the spa bath so much fun! Cute rubber ducky! Slots were fun. Not many table games open.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments and they couldn't be more timely. Just this week we held a special meeting with our Maintenance Engineers to brainstorm our HVAC System and came up with a number of Action Items designed to improve the transfer of air through-out the Facility. We've been encouraged by the early results and will continue to monitor until we feel we're operating at 100% efficiency. As for the room and our Jetted/Soaking tubs, our guests just love them and we have many who return just because of the tubs.

The front desk was so accommodating like Ricardo at the hotel desk as I asked for one night on our 53rd anniversary for Aug 7-8 and I got a notice from Expedia for 3 nights for Aug 10- well I didn't know what to do so I called hotel directly and told about the mix up and Ricardo told me he could take care of this issue and made the reservation for the day I wanted. when we got to the hotel Casino the valet parking was the best ever and Ricardo happened to be on duty and remembered our conversation on the phone and he then gave me an extra 10% discount as I had an old players club card. So the bill was so cheap for a wonderful room and handicapped which I asked for and the bathroom was the largest bathroom I have ever seen and bars on all sides of toilet and soaker tub and walk in shower one could easily put there wheel chair in that shower complete with a seat. So clean and quite on the 6th floor and a wonderful Steak House right there on 6th floor so top notch. Buffet was just okay not the best but friendly servers. Security guard in the hotel were so friendly and all staff were there to help you. Jake I think his name was at valet was so nice and helped us so much. Wonderful bargain and great slots just a hidden gem in a small town of Oroville . Who would to thought this this would be better than all of Reno hotels . No one can match the handicapped room /bathroom in Reno or Las Vegas this is the best handicapped room ever!!

Room Tip: Stay for sure if Handicapped you are treated so nicely and seniors are so welcomed/

Had a wonderful stay, room was great, food and service was great. We stayed 2 nights would highly recommend this Casino & Hotel to friends and famiy. I took my mother. She lives up there and she had a great time this is her favorite past time. I live in the Bay Area and it was a nice get away. Will do this again...........
