We were staying at the Embassy Suites hotel so the location was convenient. Portions were generous but nothing special. We took the meal to go and had it in our room.

Service was great, food was tasty and portions were excellent. It's unfortunate that they will be closing soon.

Food is great (except for the burned mocha creme brulee). Music on the weekends is great entertainment. Open up your pocket book, like most ocean side/hotel/resort restaurants, they are proud of what they serve.

Food tastes good, service needs improvement. Comfy seats by the firepit tables on the patio. Nice ambiance

We found a table at the bar on a Saturday night with plans to listen to the live music and eat dinner. After waiting a long time for service, we finally had to go the bar to order drinks. After getting drinks and another 30 min., a waiter finally showed up and we ordered appetizers which was taste but a very small portion. Not enough to share so we had to order another dish as soon as the first arrived. After polishing off both appetizers we waited and waited for a waiter to order dinner and more drinks but nobody came back. Finally we flagged someone down for our bill and we left. We never got to try the food, but since we were already upset with the lack of service, we probably would not have enjoyed it. Although we were staying at the hotel (Embassy Suites) we don’t think that this was their issue, it was our understanding that Capistrano’s leases the space in the hotel and is not managed by the hotel.
