“The View!”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

Oceanview Boulevard is a great place to take a slow drive, walk or bike, to enjoy a spectacular view of the beaches and Pacific Ocean. It parallels the beach, and fortunately provides the public an opportunity to enjoy nature at its finest.

“Not many places like it”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

For me its the wildlife. It abounds along this street/waterfront. There is always something different each day: whale sightings, seal pups, otters, and loads of waterbirds. Not to mention the deer that literally just roam the neighborhood streets.

Its hard to walk and take your eyes off the ocean! Beware though, you must or you will easily be mowed down by all types of bikes. Most cyclists are friendly and realize its a huge tourist attraction, but as usual with anywhere, some are territorial and are annoyed when walkers diverge from there allotted space on the recreation trail.

Town is super cute to wander through as well. However downtown PG could use some retail diversity. There are many clothing/consignment stores. Luckily there are at least 2 day amazing bakeries in the vicinity. Most small towns are lucky if they have one.

One last thing, many vendors downtown will not take credit cards. There have been several times when I have been pointed to a stand alone ATM either in store or nearby. Personally I find this soo annoying and try not use these establishments regularly. I think convenience of the customer comes first, even if you pass the extra cost on to me via an extra 10 cents for my coffee. Small business owners have mentioned how difficult it is to recoup CC costs. I get it, but there are many ways to minimize these issues these days. Lastly, there is significant homeless/transient issue in the area. Restaurants and coffee shops make it difficult to use bathrooms in attempt to thwart the loitering.

“Fun stores, antiques and a cool little movie theater!”
Reviewed 2 August 2013

Great little town with a lot of charm. Great food for lunch or dinner. If antiques are your thing, you'll have plenty of shops to choose from. There is all so a pretty cool Motorcycle Museum, it's small but fun. The owner is a nice guy and excepts donations to keep things going. The air in PG is amazing as it boarders the ocean. We would definitely travel to Pacific Grove again. Fun Place!!!
