Very cute, well appointed room. We found the area near to everything but out of the heaviest traffic areas which was great for sleeping and deer watching! Short walk to the Butterfly sanctuary. We come up here often and will definitely stay at the Sea Breeze again!!

very clean and a delicious Asian restaurant nearby. The room is vintage style, the bed is comfortable. There is a gas bonfire in the yard, very nice place. The lodge offers the tea\ coffee and muffins for breakfast.

Room Tip: you can get a good price , if you book the room 14 days in advance. "early bird"

It's unfortunate that this motel has a low star rating. Everything was SUPER clean, the service was very helpful, I think the only reason it has such a low rating is because it is a motel. The only room they had left for us was a pet optional room, and there was not a dander in the whole room (my nose would have known). The bathrooms were remodeled beautifully, and each room has a mini-fridge and microwave. There was no DVD player however, but they did have complimentary cable, phone, and wifi. They also offer a discounted rate on Aquarium tickets, plus you can go a second day free.

You will run into Raccoons, so if you're scared, don't go out at night. They are adorable I think, and pretty docile if you don't threaten them. One just came right up to my husband, begging like a dog! We heard they have deer too!

Pacific Grove is such an adorable town, you just take a step into the past as soon as you arrive. It's definitely more affordable than staying in neighboring Monterey or Carmel. There are many great eats, like First Awakening and Fandango's, both recommended by motel staff. The first is a breakfast lunch joint where EVERYTHING is prepared both creatively and perfectly. The second is an up-scale dinner joint--soo good you force yourself to have a four-course meal. We also ate at Passionfish, which wasn't our style. They stack the tables one on top of the other, SF cafe style, its too loud to hear your mate, and probably a little too "stiff" for some.

You must see Garrapata Beach, it's secluded and romantic, with at least one "couple size" cave!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lodge, which is across the street from the main office, but on the pool/spa side. W...

The hotel was in a pretty decent location. Just minutes from downtown and a couple of blocks from the beach. The room was clean. We had a problem with the drain in the shower but they fixed it right away. Also there is not a/c in the rooms. They were able to bring a fan for us and that helped out a lot! The breakfast isnt very much. Just muffins and juice or coffee. The only issue we had was with the bedding. The pillows where very flat and useless and the bed was like a trampoline. I have never felt such a bouncy bed in my life, lol. It almost felt like a board with springs under it. Other than the bed the hotel was ok for the price and the room was decorated pretty nicely.

I stayed there for MotoGP weekend. what a nice little motel, the staff was very friendly. All in all a great stay! It was out of the hustle and bustle of Monterey yet convenient to everything! I would recommend anyone staying on the penisula go to the Sea Breeze Lodge.

Just returned from a two weekday-night stay while visiting the Peninsula to do the required married-tourist stuff (beaches, Aquarium, seafood dining, etc.). Reserved a cottage, which was small--but nice. It had been renovated somewhat, but still showed its tired roots. Consider, though, that this place has been around for decades (I used to drive by it fairly often, while I was stationed at Fort Ord-- nearly 40 years ago), so give the proprietors a break--it's not a 5***** beach front resort. It's a quaint getaway place that's great for taking your wife for a walk, your dog out onto the nearby beaches, chatting with other tourists--and reminiscing about the Montery of the 1970s. AAA+++

I came to PG to enjoy some rest and exploration with a friend of mine. We are two Moms who don't often get the chance to get away to have fun and rest. This was wonderful.

The Lady at the front was VERY helpful. Gave us great ideas. The room was a bit musty smelling, but that is to be expected at the beach. It was beautifully decorated and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned very well. Which is HUGE to me!

The breakfast and coffee are not worth eating. So we went to PG and ate Breakfast at the Red House Cafe. YUM! We also ate dinner at the Thai restaurant across the way. We also learned of an amazing local bakery on Forest Ave. across from the grocery store.

Staying here was perfect in that it was relaxing and quiet!

Room Tip: I think the best rooms are on far side away from the pool. There is also a wonderful room with two b...
