We just spent 3 days at Andril Cottages with our fur child, Cub. We have stayed here several times in the past with Cub's predecessor and will return every time we are in the Monterey area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful setting. Room was immaculate, well appointed and comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the staff is friendly. Having stayed in so-called pet friendly spots all up and down the Ca. coast, Andril Cottages is by far, THE BEST!!!

Staying here as I write this review. Wife & 4 kids enjoying this place. 2-bedroom cottage is very clean, fully equipped and beautiful - with a wonderful backyard (includes a bbq pit). Close to Sunset Blvd - if you enjoy running ... excellent path that leads all the way to Monterey Aquarium & beyond. Will stay here again if back @ PG.

Our 4 day getaway to Asilomar Beach brought together good friends after an eleven year absence. We "downsized" to the 4 BR Casa Linda, and found a nicely upgraded, warmly accommodating base for our reunion. Being the "pet friendly" hotel, landing in the midst of the "Poodle Festival" in Carmel added to the four legged viewing. Even the deer outside the window didn't mind! The Andril staff was friendly & attentive when needed and equally invisible during "our times". Well appointed kitchen handled 4 sets of "chefs", comfortable beds, showers, and furniture made the stay a great retreat. With the outstanding weather we had, the deck area of Casa Linda became the center of meals, drink, and great laughter.
We can't say enough about the location & pricing for group getaways. Beach, shopping, or relaxing is affordable and enjoyable. We're working on our next stay well within another 11 years... Thanks again!!

Room Tip: Casa Linda is an easy stay for 4 adult couples

My family and friends have been vacationing in P.G., and staying at Andril Cottages for more than 35 years. It is our sanctuary, our peaceful retreat, magical playground, our "special gem of a place" where nature, beauty, comfort and joy abounds. Twice a year, in the early fall and spring, we travel from the Napa and Central Valley to our favorite Cottage retreats at Andril. The owners, Kevin and Linda, the great office staff, the two Antonio's who manage, tend and maintain the lovely grounds, and the wonderful housekeeping ladies all add to the feeling of home away from home. They are all like old friends, and their collective goal is to welcome, please and satisfy every visitor. The Andril compound is light, spacious and very beautiful. It feels soothing and playful, communal, yet private. A very large expanse of lawn is an ideal place to gather, frolic and relax. Kids can play tether ball and games while the adults watch, participate or set up games of their own, and it's a great spot for dog runs and romps. Andril's center island holds an enclosed spa area, ping pong table, bird baths and large, built-in BBQ set up. There is a lovely, tree-shaded, fountain-filled, zen-like sitting garden, and the entire Andril area is a bird's paradise. They are joyous in sound and sight. Their congregation and song welcomes each morning after sunrise, and closes each day
just before sunset. The daily ritual of the birds just adds to the magic that is Andril and Pacific Grove. The Asilomar Conference grounds, beach and coast walk are just a short stroll away. Wooded trails and parks are everywhere, and there is never a shortage of things to do and see in the P.G. area. The town is the most friendly and welcoming of any that I've visited. Having just returned from another perfect 10 day stay at Andril, I'm already counting the minutes and days until I return to my sanctuary in the spring. Pacific Grove and Andril Fireplace Cottages are a feast for the senses, food for the soul, peace for the mind, riches for the heart.

Room Tip: If you have never stayed at Andril, the owners and office staff will help you determine which cottage best suits your wishes and needs. Returning visitors, like me and my family already know which cottage(s) are our absolute favorites our secret treasures. Large groups and families love the expansive Rancho Reposo and Casa Linda(named for the owner)

We had a wonderful stay here in Room 16, the 2br 2 ba cottage, with our two boys, age 10 and 13, and a small dog. For less than $300 per night, which is a pretty darned good rate in this highly desirable and visited area, we had a very nicely furnished and updated suite of rooms and cooking capabilities (we ate breakfast in, and took out pizza one night to watch the AL playoffs) that saved us significantly. At Andril you can have all the comforts of a home (privacy, more than one bath, ample grassy outdoor play space for kids and dogs, fireplace, hammock and outdoor decks, bringing the family dog along, bbq-ing etc) and yet still enjoy many of the amenities of a hotel - cable TV's in each bedroom and the living room, a soak in the hot tub, off street parking, and oh so desirable location a short stroll away from beautiful Asilomar State Beach and the coastal trail. Everything we wanted to see was very close by: the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Monterey Pier, Asilomar and Lover's Point beaches, the quaint PG downtown, Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, 17 Mile Drive, Carmel, marine mammal watching, the Monterey Bay Coastal trail for biking or strolling, kayaking, and the charming and wonderful Natural History Museum. Wow! And nearby on Sunset Drive, there are Trader Joe's, Safeway, pizza and bagel shops, and everything else you might need to stock your cottage for a longer stay. The office offered free dvd's to check out and view, and also provided a super map with attractions and features in Monterey and PG, businesses and free alike. The staff was very nice, and daily maid service is another plus you won't get in a vacation home rental generally. The property was quiet and the other visitors were considerate. We would not hesitate to stay at Andril again, unless we had our own place in PG... hmmmmm, not a bad idea! They advertise a 3 night minimum, but we had to delay our trip by a day, and they still accommodated us with allowing us to downsize to a 2 night stay in another unit they had available without penalty. Just the greatest if you have come for peace and to enjoy the beauty of the local beaches and outdoors!
