We have been eating at this restaurant for many years, every time we go up the coast to visit the Monterey Peninsula. Its absolutely wonderful, and despite another review I saw is very authentic French Bistro food. Having been to Paris several times, I can vouch for that. If you're expecting "haute cuisine" with itty bitty portions of "designer" food, don't go here. If you like true French dishes, like Duck a'la Orange, Steak and Frites, mussels and escargot served by a friendly staff, in a Parisian atmosphere, this is your restauant. Excellent salads, great desserts (the Creme Brulee is our favorite) and lovely wine list keeps this delightful eatery on our list of #1 restaurants.
Open 7 days a week, 11:30 to 3 for lunch, and 5 to 9 for dinner. Located right in the middle Pacific Grove on Forest Ave., definitely make reservations!
