“"Private Screening!"”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Went to a 9:45pm weekday movie here and had the whole theatre to ourselves...CRAZY! Actually loved it, after getting comfortable with the idea and hearing only each other's breathing! We did have a difficult time finding the theatre in the dark by its address. It is part of a mall and well hidden. Tried every possible way and the last one finally worked. Delighted that the parking lot is very close to the theatre doors and after the show an attendant watched us get safely to our car. Someone mentioned the River Theatre in a review earlier and I must say it is the most inconvenient location ever! There is no parking nearby and the hike to get there is a maze thru' restaurants and crowds of people. Called the theatre to ask if there is a better place to park closer and they said the other (Forever 21)side was a bit closer, but often the lot is full. I had to say we would not be back due to the parking issue.

“great movies, no oversight of cell phone use”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

I have not ever been here when someone does not start texting or reading their emails. The staff does not come in and monitor and they do not do anything about the talking either.
Go to The River and they are very strict about all of this. There is no excuse for this theater not to take this seriously and make the experience of going to the movies here better.

“Thank you Patrick Warburton and Friends for saving this gem”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

It's a wonderfully comfortable movie theater with many screens. I go by myself to see movies that I've missed, plus to enjoy the series that they offer. I love that they book movies I missed at the Palm Springs film festival. Thank again for being there.

“What movie houses should be!”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

This theatre is partially owned by "Brian Cranston" (Breaking Bad) and he obviously loves films of all types! We've seen various movies here, they only show some movies in one theatre only once per day so they can offer many more films per day...!!! Also, they offer "early movie" times for $6 with a cup of complimentary coffee! LOVE IT!

“Making movies fun again”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

This is what a movie theater should be. Not just your usual currant popular movies but they also show classics, movies you might have missed out on last month, live theater performances from New York, Chicago, etc., comfy seats, good sound and picture and reasonable prices. Movies before noon are $6 with free coffee!

The owners are some real entertainment folks, including Brian Cranston, who know movies and what the experience should be. They have live chats with stars of the movies, producers, writers, etc. occasionally. We saw Brian Cranston interview Jonah Hill there after seeing Wolf of Wall Street...live and in person, very cool, for the usual $8 ticket.

In the lobby they have good sandwiches from a local deli, a full bar and some tempting goodies. One of my favorite things they do is have some "21+ only" showings so you can enjoy a movie kid-free if you like and enjoy a cocktail too. In a day and age where it seems like everything must be family-friendly, it's nice to have a break from it.

And as you leave the theater doors, after a better than usual movie experience, a uniformed attendant offers a piece of candy, just like the old days.
I love it.
