“Bad environment. Smell really really bad.”

Embassy Suite Palm Dessert is an old Hotel. It's like Motel 6. Even thought we were offer the second room but the smell was still bad. Everything is old. The grounds is not well kept, leaves were everywhere. The surrounding, view was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless you don't mind the smell, old facility.

Kelly,

I want to personally thank you for sharing your stay with us on Trip Advisor. I understand that the smell of your rooms was a concern, as it is for us as well. It is due to reviews such as yours that we have been working hard with our housekeeping teams to freshen up certain areas around our hotel. I do hope that the next time your travels bring you to the area you will stay with us and provide feedback again; we would love to have you. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

The previous reviews gave me a good idea of what to expect -- a friendly staff, a quiet room IF conditions were optimal, and an infrastructure that had seen its day. The first night -- actually early morning -- didn't go well because I was on the middle floor and the person directly atop me, on the third floor, got up at 5 a.m. and after that I was subjected to heavy footsteps thundering above me for three hours. It didn't help that the floor sagged and creaked with every step. The staff was friendly and helpful -- as soon as I mentioned the problem, which was around noon, I was moved to the third floor. Problem solved. As has been previously mentioned, the cooling system is severely challenged by hot weather, which is bound to be a problem in the steamy climate. There's only so much that can be done with this aging property. But I had two very comfortable nights after the first awful night and I'd return, if I was sure I could get a room on the top floor. As for the sleep quality, I have to give it an "average," but in reality it's a terrible/excellent.

A comfortable and clean hotel in the heart of Palm Dessert. Each morning, your complimentary breakfast is cooked to order. Large, well equipped rooms. Very friendly staff. Wonderful pool and hot tub plus a very good exercise room.

ANTS IN ROOM. Ants found in our food left in room. All over floor. In bed. No reduction in very expensive room rates due to festival in town. No help moving luggage. Non english speaking maintenance man came to spray and left.

Nice Embassy Suites and fairly typical of the brand. Nice pool and excellent staff. Don't plan to sleep on the pull-out couch unless you like the feel of springs. Wi-fi is so-so: Couldn't watch Netflix.

Loved this hotel as it was most luxurious. Courtyard was lovely and worth staying at.
Beds very comfortable except for pull out sofas. Food was generous, happy hour good, need more nachos and cheese. Very expensive during Spring Break, otherwise well worth a visit. My preference by far is to stay near Palm Desert as it has a nice Saturday and Sunday Market, near living desert, high end shops. Hotel staff were good.

Room Tip: Ask for two double bed suite and ask for a suitable mattress for sofa that is softer than the ones...
