“Great hiking.”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

We took an afternoon tram and hiked for a couple of hours. The tram is well organized and we used tickets purchased on the internet without any problems. Take note that the temperature on the mountain will be significantly less than in the valley.

“Great Time”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Well worth the price! Wonderful views, nice tourist center, makes for a nice day. It goes nice and slow, no need to worry about 'sickness'.

“Up up and away”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

A brilliant day had travelling to the top of mount San Jacinto by cable car.
You can take lots of trails, picnic, camp out up there although I believe you need a permit for certain walks and camping. Wonderful view points, looking over Palm Springs and the desert for miles beyond so don't forget your camera. Oh and take warm clothing with you as the temperature drops and sensible walking shoes advisable. Stop and smell the trees for a magnificant aroma of caramel. I think that everyone who experiences this trip will say they had a wonderful day out.
An Occasion to remember and an Experience to Savour.
G. Preston and J Howe.

“What a view!”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

I've always wanted to ride this tramway and now we did! The drive up to the base requires plenty from your car! The parking lot was at an incline and steep. Beware if you use wheel chairs. The lady that sold us the ticket wasn't very nice. She doesn't seem happy at all. Perhaps a bad day? The tram carts are a revolving type so don''t loose your footing. It was an awesome ride up the steep slope of Mt. San Jacinto. You climb over a mile in height from the base station to the mountain top station. That means there is a great temperature change. We went from 90F in Palm Springs to 58F on the top station. Be sure to bring a coat. The view on the way up was awesome as you get 360 degree view on the revolving platform. The view on top was even more spectacular. As you can view the whole valley from Palm Springs to the Salton Sea. There is a souvenir shop at each station. Everyone should try it at least once. I heard they will charge a fee for parking in the future. Not good! We didn't have to pay a fee as of April 2014.
