We spent 4 days at Desert Sun for the New Year. We decided to rent a 1 bedroom condo instead of a hotel room for the advantage of a kitchen and 2 way fireplace for the bedroom and living room.
Holidays are always fun, with bigger crowds and the hotels specials for each holiday. The New Years celebration was fun with a NYE party with champagne flowing, dancing to a DJ with lots of friendly people. All this was included free if you were staying there.
We had 75-80% during the day and when it got cooler at night, we had fun in both jacuzzis meeting people from locals to all around the world. This is a great naked resort for fun and sun. They do have a restaurant but there are so many great restaurants a few blocks away, you must try a few. Hope to run into you next time!

Room Tip: The hotel rooms have a small refrigerator but of course the condos have a full kitchen and are worth the slightly more costs especially if you are staying 4 days or a week and include private parking spaces

We have just returned from our third visit to this bit of Shangri-La. As always, the staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds immaculate, and the other guests friendly. Thank you Theresa, Amanda and Michael! We also enjoyed our usual fabulous massage with Renska - not to be missed if you visit! We stayed in tne Courtyard because we like the additional quiet and privacy. Already counting the weeks to our next visit.

This was my first experience of public Nudism, but I doubt it will be the last as I will definetly be returning to DSR. I really like the ability to air all parts of your body and not care a jot about anything. The grounds at DSR are very well maintained and the pools are cleaned every morning. It's not the place you would visit to rack-up your "hits", but if you want a more quieter, liberating and relaxing time it will work wonders for you. The weekends are busy with the week days less busy - there are plenty of Cafes to eat in nearby district and I liked the Irish Bar. Much easier if you rent a car from the airport, if your flying in as I was and plenty of room to park. The hot Jacuzzi was great and I just ended up chatting with other couples as it can hold about 10-12 people. Though theres a lot of times when you can have a session on your own, early in the morning. Weather was fab and I expect it similar most times of the year bar December? So I will be heading back Jan/Feb next year! I didn't see that many single women or men for that matter but singles are welcomed even if you do feel a little akward sometimes. But as a first-timer I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the unhurried way you could go about.

This is a truly wonderful resort - clean and well presented, with a nice clientele and very pleasant staff. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pools excellent and the overall ambience is wonderful. It is more "adult oriented" than some nude resorts, but only in the sense that it is adults only. It is not a "lifestyle" resort, but an upmarket resort catering to discerning clientele.
The hotel rooms are adequate, but hardly luxurious. That does not really matter as most time here is spent outside of them.
I would echo the comments about the limited opening hours of the restaurant. I understand why they are limited, but we prefer our nudism 24/7 if possible.
That said, we have just spent our second visit there in 5 weeks, and we come from a long way away, so this resort must have something special to have brought us back so soon. A lovely place overall, congratulations to the owners.

Room Tip: We stayed in both the Courtyard for our first visit, and the hotel (room 39) for our second. In our view the hotel represents better value overall.
