“One of my favorite places to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2012

We've stayed here before, and there is just something special about this property. It's not the most glamorous place I've ever stayed, but it's always relaxing, the staff is attentive and I always walk away with great stories to tell.

Room details: We have stayed in the Palms Spring Deluxe, Johnny Costa, William Cody and Oceans 11. Palm Springs and Oceans 11 are both larger rooms with kitchens and it's worth splurging on the extra space. If you don't though, William Cody has it's own entrance in the front of the hotel and slanted doorway makes you feel like your in Alice and Wonderland.

What truly makes this hotel such a great stay every time are the experiences we have while staying there. The pool is always quiet with great 50s music playing in the background, sitting with friends at night by the fire pit is awesome, enjoying the sun while riding the hotel's bikes around Palm Springs, and then to top it off its the best location in Palm Springs.

The only complaints: if you are staying in a lower room you can very clearly hear the people above you walk around, and the beds are pretty old so they creak a lot. Overall though it's a very affordable hotel and worth every penny!

Spent several days at the hotel and couldn't fault it. Were lucky that stayed midweek so virtually had place to ourselves. Lovely apartment (so much more than a hotel room) and was really nice to have a kitchen to make meals ourselves when we didn't want to walk into town.

Location is perfect, less than 2 minute walk to the restaurants/bars/shops of gorgeous PS. They have bikes to borrow which is a nice touch. All staff were super friendly.

The design is great and oozes authenticity - felt like a 50's movie star lounging by the pool with a drink.

Our few days there were at the end of a California road trip and it was the perfect place to relax. Both PS and hotel are gems!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Del Marcos hotel for 1 night, during our quick getaway vacation to Palm Springs. We loved the hotel!
On our drive over, Palm Canyon Drive was closed for the evening, so we had to take a back road to get to the hotel. Unsure of how to get there, we called the hotel for directions. Rather than give directions and hang up, they STAYED ON THE PHONE with us until we got there and parked. (Thank you, Rico!) Above and beyond customer service.
The property is beautiful - a mid-century modern hotel that respects the aesthetic but has all the modern amenities, like free wifi and renovated rooms/bathrooms. Other things we liked were the welcome beverages, complimentary breakfast, fire pit, and board games. We also appreciated that the property is 18+, and the location is close to Palm Canyon.

Room Tip: Look up the individual rooms on Del Marcos's website. Each one's different.

Stayed here for 1 night in sept after horrific 8 hour drive from vegas through floods etc and arrived with no booking to a very warm welcome, glass of wine/ beer, the staff could not of been more helpful. The hotel had been recently refurbished to a high standard, the rooms were very large with all mod cons, all overlooking the lovely pool. The breakfast was all included and was lovely sitting out by the pool enjoying the morning sun. Hotel was right in the centre of palm springs 2 min walk to all the restaurants etc. recommend the mexican on the main strip. Internet was also all free and bikes avaliable to explore the lovely town. Superb find would recommend to anyone!!!!

We spent two nights here in the Hope and Crosby room. We had a nice sized room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. We enjoyed lounging at the pool, watching the Laker game at the firepit in the evening, and the free breakfast. Best of all was the proximity to shops and restaurants, just a short stroll away. We loved the look of this hotel and the friendly people that work there.

Room Tip: choose a higher floor for privacy unless you want to be near the pool.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and my review is this:

I love this place !

This unassuming hotel is retro at its nicest and simply very cool.
Their salt water pool is super clean and a pleasant 80 degrees. Fire pit, seating area and tv's to chill around make for a comfy, relaxing time.

Location couldn't be better as it's a three minute walk to "the strip", Palm Canyon Drive. You'll find plenty of pubs, restaurants & shopping on PC Drive.

The architexture, mountains and palm trees are abundant and beautiful !

Last but not least is the staff at Del Marcos: Diana, Laura, Lisa, Rico & Eric.
They were the icing on my Palm Springs birthday cake :)
You guys rock and I hope to see you all in summer 2012 !

We loved the Del Marcos. It's an adorable mid-century hotel in the heart of Palm Springs. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and the property is very well-maintained. We enjoyed our continental breakfast by the pool but didn't end up taking advantage of the bikes on-site. We could walk to many shops during the day and visit the 2 hotel bars down the street at night (Viceroy and Melvyn's at Ingleside).
