“very nice property nice 2 bedroom unit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

After reading earlier reviews, we made sure to call ahead of time and request a unit away from the highway 111 boarder. We had a 2-bedroom ground floor unit with 1 car garage and large porch. We were just a small green zone from the main pool and hot tub complex, but also very near a smaller pool/hot tub. The week we were there was change over time for the summer/winter times and the pools had not had the heaters turned on yet, next week. Overall seemed to be oriented to adults/empty nesters as there was no shallow "kiddie pool" or a kids playground. There is no food service on site, but every unit has a gas barbecue and many stores nearby. It seemed to be a good location for an extended stay in the PS area.

Room Tip: The more rooms, the better the unit overall, stay off the highway 111 boarder.

While the appliances are not high end, the condos are very nice. A very nice touch to have bicycles in our own private garage of our condo. Completely furnished, right down to a toaster, and a bbq grill for each unit. 8 swimming pools to choose from. I love the security of the gated community.

Room Tip: These are actually condos in a resort. A 1 bedroom has a king sized bed in the bedroom plus an In Wa...

I stayed at the Oasis because it was the closest reasonably-priced property to the Parker, where friends were staying, and because of good reviews. I was in a second-floor room in a villa near the entrance, and the air conditioning was so noisy it woke me up when it switched on, which was often, as the temperatures were near 110 degrees F during the day and in the 80's at night. After visiting with my friends at their hotel, I returned to mine, and they walked me back. When we tried to enter the pedestrian gate with a room key, it would not open. We used the key at the card reader for cars, and entered through that gate. When my friends left, they could not get out of the property through the pedestrian gate, and went to the office for help. The evening clerk said that he had no method of opening the gate, that it had been malfunctioning for a while and they had a repair person look at it, but it was not repaired properly. He suggested that my friends "crawl under the gate, as other guests sometimes did". The opening under the gate was small and they did not want to crawl in the dirt, so they waited about 20 min. for a car to come through the gate so they could get out. I did not use any amenities such as the kitchen or any of the pools, but the Oasis might be good for families or longer-term stays, as long as you plan to leave by car each time and don't mind basic amenities. The Murphy bed in the studio I was in was more comfortable than I imagined one would be, and except for the rattling and whistling of the air conditioning, it was very quiet and peaceful.

Room Tip: Both on line and when I checked in, I was told that guests do not choose their locations, so it see...

I know going to Palm Springs in August is not usually the place to go. However, with the resort having 8 pools and 7 jacuzzis it was a great place. Going to the pool in the morning and being done by 2 made the heat more managable. For 3 days the two of us were the only ones at the pool. Having pools in each area of the resort made it easy to go and come all day. The 2 bedroom was just great. Having the garage to park in made the car not quite so hot to get in to to do some sight seeing. The front desk staff were awesome, friendly and very helpful. THe grounds were being worked on contstantly. It was a very much needed retreat to enjoy quite time and adventure off site when we wanted to.

Room Tip: the 2 bedroom had a bathroom for each plus there was an additional bathroom for the person who might...

This is a great find, if what you're looking for is to escape from big city hassles and enjoy lounging about or playing tennis and swimming pools (there are quite a few scattered around this huge, gated and beautifully landscaped property). All of the rooms are villas/apartments with working kitchens. If you're feeling as though you need some people diversion, downtown Palm Springs is a little more than 5 minutes away by car. The villas are well furnished, come with bicycles in the garage. One of the pools is designated adults only -- which is good because the resort caters to families, many of whom have children. The villas are fully furnished, clean and comfortable. They also have washers and dryers, but it would be a good idea to bring your own detergent. Dish soap is provided however, as is a nice size dishwasher. Our villa only came with a few bars of hand soap, and no shampoo, so bring your own toiletries as well. I came here to relax, and that is exactly what I got.

Room Tip: The villas are all excellent and as this is a gated community, so it is completely safe to walk arou...

We love this place. The units are nicely appointed, spacious, and well equipped. When I saw the comment about 1 dead roach in the unit, and that the renter thought they should have a free meal or new room because of it, I died laughing! There are lots of roaches in hot countries. Even Hawaii has roaches. The Oasis resort staff do their best to keep cockroaches at a minimum but it is also up to the renter to not leave food out as an invitation. The grounds are kept immaculate and the pools are clean. My only negative on the pools is that they are too warm in the hot weather, and are not very refreshing. If they could be made to be cooler that would be wonderful! It is family friendly, but more adult oriented, which is nice if you want to relax by the pool without a bunch of kids splashing you. The resort is fairly close to amenities and the front desk people are very helpful. If you like to golf this place is great. We go back as often as possible!!!!

Room Tip: Try to get one not too close to the pools if you want a quieter time, otherwise if you don't car...

This hotel is part of a timeshare and all the rooms are villas with kitchens. They have studio, one bedrms and 2 bedrms. THe villas are huge. Each villa comes with 2 bicycles. There are 8 different pools scattered around the resort. Only problem is the jacuzzis are not all heated. Only the odd numbered pools are heated aa that was what the full timers wanted. Makes no since to me to have a jacuzzi that isn't heated. this is a gret place for families and children. the office sells water park passes to soak city for half price which is 20.00

Room Tip: try to get a unit near the pool
