First, the good: lots of pools, spacious units, very nice Activity Director (Anna). Next, the ok: units are fine, but could use some updating. Some minor maintenance issues.
Now, the bad: My wife and I are here with our six-year old. We thought the other guests would be older folks and families. We are in a two-bedroom next to pool number 2, which seemed like a great location. Maybe not. This morning, we were awaked by loud screaming from the unit upstairs that lasted for quite some time. After an hour or so, I heard the people upstairs leave, which was a relief, but when I went out to the car a bit later, there was trash scattered all over our shared driveway area, including half a partially eaten pizza in our driveway. Alright, so not everyone is perfect. We enjoyed a little time around the pool until it was basically taken over at about 11am by a group smoking, drinking heavily and using so much loud profanity that basically I felt I had no choice but to take my daughter and leave.
After they left there was peace for a short time, but after that, a huge extended family came in and took over the whole pool area complete with a large, loud stereo. There were 18 of them at last count and more relatives keep arriving straight from their jobs for the huge party. Right now it sounds like a frat party out there. As a matter of fact, it sounds like a frat party even inside our unit with the door closed.
You know, everyone should be able to enjoy themselves, but not at the expense of other guests. So far, this place is simply overrun by people who show no consideration of anyone else. We've never experienced anything quite like this, and it is absurd.

Room Tip: I wish you could hear the noise level in our room....simply incredible.

Dear Guest,

I can understand your frustration regarding other people behavior. Oasis offers 8 different pool locations and 9 different jacuzzis. We always hope that every pool area can offer something different to each individual. Please accept our sincerest apologies.

This was our fourth visit to Oasis as Vacation Internationale owners. This was our first stay in a 1BR unit. We checked in late on Memorial Day and were met by a polite security guard at the front desk. We were initially issued unit 5B (upstairs) in Circle 1. We found the unit had not been cleaned and was not ready for occupation. Upon returning to the desk the security guard questioned whether we were sure the unit was not ready? Yes, absolutely sure. We were switched to 4B (I think?) but the guard said this was for one night and we may have to move tomorrow. Uh, not going to happen once we've moved all our stuff in. Thankfully we resolved this the next morning without issue.

The unit itself is showing quite a bit of wear but everything functioned properly. There was cracked tile in the kitchen and bathroom, walls were patched but paint wasn't touched up, large carpet stain in the living area. etc. The unit definitely needed a more thorough and detailed cleaning.

We'll certainly be back (see my previous reviews for details), but will most likely stick with the 2BR units.

This is a slightly older facility but in excellent condition. Lots of amenities on site and convenient to everything in Palm Springs. Grounds were beautiful and the pools were always clean and inviting. A great place to stay.

Spent 5 days here with adult children and spouses in a large, two-bedroom unit. Although it was a bit far from pools, it was very private and secluded. Patio was private enough to sip coffee in PJ's in the morning.
Beautifully maintained grounds, immaculate pool areas, friendly helpful staff at front desk.
The main pool offers social occasions with generous portions of food for a reasonable price.
So many pools to choose from, if one is crowded, move to the next. Hot-tubbing at night was a highlight.
This is my 4th stay at the property as a Vacation Internationale owner and I would say it's one of their best resorts. Full sized washer/dryer in unit, workable kitchen with every dish and utensil we could have wanted, large gas grill on patio.
Highly recommend: the Thursday night street fair in downtown Palm Springs! The front desk staff even made parking suggestions.
In all, a consistently outstanding guest experience. Will definitely be back!

i come here often because my family really enjoys it. It is nice to have such spacious rooms; they are more like having your own apartment than staying in a hotel which has its pros and cons.. it is great because you can bring your own food instead of spending tons of money on hotel restaurant bills and the pools are much less crowded than at a regular hotel..there are so many pools on this site its hard to keep count. You can use bikes and go around the grounds which is fun. they have tennis courts that anyone can play on.. the cons to it feeling more like a home is there isnt anyone around to take drink orders or make food if its what you want.. overall, i would recommend it if you like a slower paced hotel because it is very nice. The staff at the front desk is so nice (same person for as long as i can remember).

Welcome home and thank you for returning to the Oasis Resort. We are so happy that you have enjoyed the 8 pools we have onsite and had the chance to use the bicycles. I have to agree it is nice to have a full kitchen in your unit so you have the choice to do your own cooking. We also serve a home cooked spaghetti dinner in the club house once a week. I highly recommend checking with the front desk on the details. It is a huge hit. Please come back and see us again soon.

We just returned from a great week at the Oasis and I thought the resort was better than expected from the reviews. In fact, it was absolutely beautiful. We were in unit 28, a first floor 2 bedroom 2.5 bath right outside the main pool through an exchange with SFX. There was another unit above us. Here are my notes:

Resort/Unit Notes:

1) Less than a 5 minute drive into downtown Palm Springs.

2) Gated community. Your room key opens the main gate. You also get a clicker for your garage
door.

3) Less than half the community consists of VI timeshare units; the rest of the community is privately owned.

4) Old and outdated units, but still clean and perfectly acceptable. Got a nice laugh at the popcorn ceilings.

5) Most had one car garages and very narrow driveways.

6) Washer/dryer in unit but no soap. We brought Tide pods from home.

7) Poorly constructed units. It sounded like a herd of elephants stampeding around above us. Every time someone walked around in the unit above us, our “chandelier” over the table shook.

8) Also, the patios are accessible from people walking around the common areas. Very early on a Saturday morning (6:30 am), I was woken up by the sounds of kids playing on the grassy area outside my patio. I tried to sleep through it until I heard the sounds of shrieks right outside my sliding glass door, along with pounding on the door. I jumped up and looked outside and two little boys were fighting with pool noodles ON MY PATIO and as they were beating each other they were hitting my slider!

9) The resort hosts a spaghetti dinner on Wednesday night for $10 per person. They provide salad, spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread and ice cream, and you can bring your own wine! It was a great way to meet new people and we really enjoyed the couple we dined with. They also have a BBQ on Saturdays and ice cream socials throughout the week at the clubhouse.

Pool Notes:

1) Eight pools, none of which are adult only. There really needs to be an adult pool as the pools are small and when kids are constantly jumping and playing you cannot help but be splashed.

2) Pools are heated through the end of April

3) Pool towels are assigned at check-in and you cannot exchange them for clean ones. You must wash them yourself, so bring laundry detergent from home.

4) Inflatable rafts/noodles are allowed in pools and they’ll inflate them for you at the front desk.

5) Considering the size of the Oasis, it was relatively quiet and we never had problems finding lounge chairs. We’d walk to a pool and if it was too crowded or had too many kids, we’d just walk to the next, then on to the next until we found a quiet spot. They’re not that far apart.

Stores nearby:

Von’s, Jensen’s, Walgreen’s, Target, Trader Joe, and Manhattan in the Desert is super close. We ate there several times.

Very clean and quite place. But it could be boring to stay there for a week. Just to be in the pool and biking in the resort. But you may attend suraunding areas to see some desert places. The resort is super and everything we liked in the resort.
