“Quite interesting and free”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

Preserve is something very different to what else Palm Springs has to offer. There are shady palms to sit under, short trails to walk, a small museum and plants and animals you will not find elsewhere. Not a place you will wish to perhaps spend hours at, but just somewhere to relax for a couple. There are quite a few parking spaces at entrance but these filled quickly and soon the roadside became inevitable. There is no charge to visit the preserve, but I noted a suggested donation of $5 for parking.

“Perfect Way to Spend the Day”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

If you are looking to get in touch with nature on your Coachella Valley trip, this is a must see. Includes a palm tree oasis, walk over the San Andreas Fault line, and beautiful views of the valley. The only issue was the signage, I ended up on the highway instead of the trail- just be careful.

The place was really surprising. The lady in the shop was very nice and she knew all of the history, which made it very interesting.

“Nice half day hike!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Incredible to see a palm tree oasis in the middle of a desert and that there is so much water! Nice gentle hike/walk that is well marked. Also can see where the San Andreas fault is!
