My wife and I just returned from one week at the PSTC. What a gorgeous setting! The tennis courts are wonderful and the proximity to the mountain is stunning. We loved the manicured lawn with the colourful flowers. As for the pool/hot tub, this too was first rate. Coupled with the absolutely perfect weather, this was a memorable week in the desert. On a scale of one to ten, this was a twelve!

Unlike the snazzy pictures of the rooms pictured on line, we stayed in a old and not updated unit. It was clean but a full kitchen shouldn't consist of two burners and no oven. Pools were good and Spencer's was great.

Our family stayed for 3 nights in Nov. This hotel/time share place located a few blocks away from downtown Palm Springs. There are a lot of good restaurants that have kids menu. The facility has 5 jucuzzi and 3 heated pools. One jucuzzi and a pool are only got adults. They also have ping pong tables and laundry room. If you love to play tennis, call tennis desk 3 days in advance and they will coordinate a match for you with locals and other tourists. We enjoy staying here very much.

Very nicely decorated with a great layout. The beds were extremely comfortable and great pillows. We had a studio room in the main hotel. A little bigger than a regular hotel room with a small mini kitchen, it was suffice for our needs. Our room was right up against the hill, so it was interesting sitting on the balcony. There is some history to the tennis club although the original hotel no longer exists. Free DVD's to sign out and a few activities available. Walking distance to the main restaurants in town so location was great.

We stayed here, loved it and bought a time share and travel here every year or two from CT - 2 plane rides. The renovation of our one bedroom, 2 bath "apartment" was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The full size kitchen is stocked with dishes and pots and utensils should you desire to prepare meals. My husband plays tennis every morning and I walk around town or exercise in the fitness center. We love the fact that we can walk into the downtown area for lunch, Thursday night Village Fest, or Koffi. We have always felt very safe walking in Palm Springs. The staff is very accommodating. We appreciate the daily emptying of garbage and towel replacement (at some time share properties this is unheard of). The pools are gorgeous with very comfortable lounges, huge pool towels and cold water available at the "adult pool". There are several hot tubs, ping pong tables,a pool table and bikes available. We dealt with the 4:30 check in by putting out bathing suits and sunblock on top so they were easily pulled out and we sat at the pool until our room was ready. We find this to be a very relaxing vacation.

Room Tip: The rooms near Spencer's restaurant are subject to the garbage trucks in the early morning, Spen...

Although not tennis players,we had a great stay here for a week. It's a casual but well run resort and we found the history of all the celebrities that used the club very interesting. Photos of Frank Sinatra,Bob Hope Lucile Ball and many many others hang on the walls. Our one bedroom apartment in the main building was huge and over-looked two of the tennis courts. It was equipped with a full kitchen and a massive fridge/freezer! The dining table had been laid with crockery ,glasses and napkins on our arrival - a nice touch.
The resort is very conveniently positioned and only a few minutes walk to Palm Springs centre.

While kicking the tires on a few timeshare properties in the region (this establishment included), I spent two nights in a one bedroom suite in the U.S. open section.

Unfortunately, there were more misses than hits:

The 4:30 p.m. check-in time makes it difficult to get settled and enjoy the sunset; with check out @11, why are 5ive and one half hours required?

The hair dryer did not work.

The toilet "refreshed" itself every 4 minutes or so, making uninterrupted sleep an impossible.

The Internet was slower than the US budget talks (as a writer, it is vital to remain readily connected; sadly, Bell Canada's turbo stick, which I brought along as a backup, failed throughout my trip and their help desk could only say "sorry").

I gather from Tennis Club management that--now that the hotel floors have been completely renovated--the units across the street--including mine--will be upgraded next.

That can't happen soon enough.
