We stayed recently for two nights in a bungalow 319. It was superb; fully equipped and with patio seating and a pool only a few yards away. Everything was perfect and we can't thank the powers that be enough for being allowed to stay here . Great location and no criticism whatsoever.

I have been vacationing at this historic hotel for over 20 years! I own a timeshare there, and absolutely love it. I always stay in the bungalows since I am a timeshare owner, but the hotel is just as great. The hotel is right on the mountain, it is simply beautiful. The place is very laid back, relaxing, and family friendly. It's great because the rooms have kitchens, and there are no huge restrictions on bringing your own food/drinks to the pool if you want. There are tons of tennis courts, a few pools, jacuzzis, and activities for the kids. There is also a great restaurant called Spencer's on the property. Another wonderful thing about this hotel is that its just a few blocks from downtown Palm Springs, and the walk is very pleasant!! I highly recommend this getaway to anyone!!

We stayed for 2 nights in a king suite - the bedroom is separate from the living area and full kitchen. Very spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a newly remodeled room - upper floor and facing the west (mountain)

We try to stay here once a year. This is a awesome location as you can walk to down town where all the action is. Thursday night they shut the street down for a farmers market. You can stay where the movie stars used to hang out.

We spent a week at the first of May at the Palm Springs Tennis Club and thoroughly enjoyed the property and location in spite of the fact that in my opinion we had one of the worst located units in the resort, unit 113. I say that because in addition to being on the first floor, we had one of the four units on the south end of the building which are near the on=site restaurant, Spencer’s. Not only does this sort of spoil the view, but as others have mentioned you get the morning garbage trucks and some other traffic noise associated with the restaurant. We didn’t find the garbage pickup particularly bothersome as most mornings they didn’t arrive until about 8AM, however, the landscape crew fired up their ‘supercharged’ leaf blowers promptly a 7AM and this was annoying.
With those few negatives considered, we did find our studio to be a good size and well equipped for two people. I believe all the units, at least in the main building, have been remodeled now and the furnishings in our unit were both practical and comfortable. Although the unit had very little natural light, even though it faced south, there was abundant and functional lighting which was more than adequate; a real plus. The small kitchenette had a full size refrigerator, a two burner cookstove/oven, microwave, toaster and adequate utensils. It was arranged in such a way that it didn’t seem to encroach on the living space. There was adequate closet and drawer space (and hangers) for two people with a week’s worth of clothes; not something that you find at other resorts. The bathroom, while not large, again was well laid out and very functional, except the hot water in the shower seemed to surprise you by a sudden increase in temperature at times. The heat/AC unit was a ‘through the wall’ type that was quite noisy and ran about 75% of the time since we were there when it was fairly warm. It also exhausts onto the patio, but is to one side so it is not as bothersome as it might otherwise be. I mention this as I am sure given the arrangement and construction of the resort that all units have this type of Heat/AC unit so if that is a concern you need to take that into consideration. During cooler weather the room has a nice ceiling fan which should provide adequate cooling and not be as noisy.
The resort had several scheduled activities and is well equipped with pools, tennis courts and an exercise facility. We did not participate in any of the scheduled activities, but did utilize the adult pool which was very nice and not crowded during our stay. The units face inside corridors which are very open and airy. I must also mention that our WiFi signal was strong and while not super fast it was very good for our use, and there was no additional charge for this service. WiFi, or lack thereof, is a pet-peeve of mine so PSTC gets bonus points from me for providing an above average experience for our communications needs.
The resort is located a few blocks from the main Palm Springs downtown area and we enjoyed the nice walk most of the time. When we did drive we found it easy to get closer to the downtown area and find parking. There is a free parking garage at the corner of Baristo and Indian Canyon that is very convenient. Also the underground parking at the resort is easy to access and is a nice accommodation and given the fact that there is very little traffic in the resort area, coming and going is not an issue.
Although we have been vacationing in Palm Springs for over twenty years, this was our first stay at PSTC. Even though I still believe that we could have had a better experience in a better located unit, I still rate the resort as above average. Given the fact that it is reasonably priced, recently remodeled and well maintain in addition to being in a good location, we will try to utilize this facility again and would recommend it as a good option to consider for Palm Springs accommodations.

Room Tip: Avoid the two studio rooms 113 and 213 and the two 1 bedroom units 112, and 212. These are on the s...

After a couple of visits plagued by noisy unruly guests, I can report that this year's visit was wonderful...quiet, drama-free and pleasant. The desk staff was polite, the housekeepers friendly and terrific, and the grounds well kept. Other than seeing one guest openly smoking (prohibited) the other guests were respectful of the property and other guests. As an owner for over 30 years I am glad to see that the management is doing a good job now.

Room Tip: If you want a peaceful time dont book right by the family pool. Noisy most of the time.

Have stayed here 3 times in the past 6 years and absolutely love it! Bungalows are always clean and always well maintained. Housekeeping staff is always great and friendly and you see the same faces year after year.

Love the adult pool, but wish they had bar or wait service (they did the first time I visited years ago).

Can't wait to come back soon!
