“Wedding Festivities”
Reviewed 15 December 2008

We had a Palm Springs Wedding and chose Rendezvous for our party hang. We booked out the entire hotel with friends and family. The allowed us to enjoy their fantastic breakfasts and evening happy hour as "mini parties" with the friends and fam (for several consecutive days). All the food was delicious and the "blue martinis" are tasty (and a little dangerous).

While we had the wedding elsewhere, we actually had our Reception/Party/Dinner at Rendevous in the evening after the wedding. We took over the courtyard for swimming, drinking, eating, Guitar Hero, poker playing and more. The Rendezvous staff was AWESOME, truly catering to our every need. They organized a fantastic gourmet barbeque dinner, served it up PLUS let us bring in our own bar for the guests.

The pool, hot tub and onsite bicycles were a huge hit with all our guests. The ultra-hip rooms, big screen TVs and in-room spa tubs, made everyone's stay comfortable and memorable.

The staff was absolutely wonderful, constantly attentive and amazingly accommodating. We'll definitely go back for future Palm Springs visits and will recommend it highly to anyone planning a vacation.

This is a great place, reasonably priced, with a fantastic staff. The breakfast and afternoon martinis can't be beat! We're definitely going back!

I first discovered this boutique hotel when it was Ballantine's. I had a great time and would love to come back again for a longer stay with a romantic companion or by myself would be almost as fun!!! The renovations and additions of modern conveniences such as whirlpool tub and HDTV are awesome while at the same time the vibe and ambiance of the 50's modernist period were not lost. Loved the martini hour and the fantastic breakfast!!! Love the friendly, helpful, fun loving staff. Loved the pecan cookies upon arrival!! Great massage!!! Real coffee in the room and complimentary water and soda in the fridge!!! Great location, easy access to the freeway!!!! Billy's restaurant is a five minute walk (not fancy but good food), World Gym is a 15 minute walk and you can purchase a day pass for $15 (nice facilities). Bikes provided to cruise into town.

Best hospitality in Palm Springs! Great, romantic spot. The gourmet breakfasts are delicious. Cookies in your room each day. Drinks and appetizers by the bar each night. So many great touches. The owners and staff are wonderful. We had a great visit.

We had stayed at this hotel when it was Ballentine's twice in the last 5 years or so, and were extremely surprised and delighted to see how beautifully the property has been updated, and that there were additional amenities such as a hot, home-made breakfast and happy hour drinks and hors d'oeuvres, free bicycle rentals, pool towels and floats. The baked goods in the room and free pop and bottled water were appreciated. Betty and Gabrielle couldn't have been nicer or more concerned for our comfort. We also had a couples massage, and the massage room and therapists were excellent. We love this location because it's just a few blocks outside of the main downtown area, which makes for a pleasant walk through many restaurants and mid-century modern shops. It's also a great stroll back to the hotel after dinner! It seems much quieter than the other hotels that are in the "heart" of downtown, just a few blocks away. We love Rendezvous because it is small. intimate and has a wonderful vintage feel that will make you feel like you were there "back in the day", and the hosts will make you feel like you are family.
