We spent longer than expected. Charming and artifacts well displayed. Nominal fee, lovely and interesting museum, helpful curator.

A really nice place in the city center, entrance fee $0.95 per person. All original goods that could be bought in a 30s/40s general store. Sally and her dog Q-tip are welcoming you as you look around. We even got to hold the whiskey bottle.

Check out the opening hours before you go!

Room set up as an old general store full of original merchandise (cigarettes, clothing, food, medications, cosmetics) from the 1930s. Interesting to see the labels and petrified contents (e.g., catsup). Worth the 95cents admission.

This is a wonderful gem in the desert! Amid the hustle of Palm Canyon Drive, it is an oasis of history and a genuine step back in time. Wonderful curator, Sally was there and she had excellent information to share. Absolutely worth a visit and at $.95 for entrance, a true bargain.

We were so excited the museum was open when we visited in Dec. Sally, the curator, was so lovely! We got there right before they were going to close and she stayed open for us. It's worth the .95 cents per person to see it. It's not a store; it's a museum. And the items are so authentic. So fun to look at and they let you take personal pictures. Go visit if you get a chance if you either want a walk down memory lane (of the 1930s / 40s) or you want to see what it was like "way back when."
