I love old school diners. Simple, delicious food at affordable prices, usually with huge portions.

Elmer's was simply amazing.

While they were packed when we showed up on Sunday morning for breakfast, we managed to get a booth less than 20 minutes from when we arrived.

The staff was all very friendly, the food was amazing, especially the German pancakes, and it was very reasonably priced. They even have good parking!

Will absolutely be back next time I am in Palm Springs!

We met friends for breakfast here. It is very crowded. Lots of locals go here so you know it's good. I had a vegetable omelet, zucchini, onion, spinich, tomato, with Hollandaise sause on top, which was the best ever. My husband had a Mr. Elmer's omelet which was ham, tomato, mushroom, and he liked it very much. My friend had the raspberry crepe. She loves raspberries and said this was to die for. The waiters are very attentive. Water and coffee, etc. is constantly being refilled. Dishes are taken away promptly. Love this place and can't wait to come back.

People think of this place for breakfast, but if they knew the lunches and dinners available, they would 're-think' the options. Fresh food, presented nicely with a caring staff of professionals. A great atmosphere with all around consistency that you don't always find in a tourist town. The locals keep this place alive in the "off season" - plenty of parking and even if a wait, tables seem to move quickly and it's never too bad. Great views and people watching! The German pancakes are great but try the crepes - fantastic salads at lunch and dinners big enough to feed a third world country. I would put their prime rib up with places that would charge more than double! Great coffee to wake up the dead, flavored iced teas and a nice variety that would please any party! Nice people own this franchise -- the staff has been there for years! You can't go wrong with this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! When it's my turn to cook, we go to "Elmers"!!
