“The Peaks tram restaurant”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

We had been on the tram about 20yrs ago when you walk through parking lot onto the tram.
Now they added stores while you are waiting they have an area you can get drinks and snacks while you are waiting for your tram.We were lucky we had an hour wait sometimes they have longer waits then that to get up to the to the mountain.
People would stand in line and wait until they call the time that is stamped on there ticket.
The car holds 80 people. It turns from the floor to 360 degrees very slow, when you get to the towers they let you know it will be a little bumpy. My husband who gets motion sickness did not have a problem with this. This was at 6:30pm you can see the view with all the lights in different sections of Palm Springs. This is when I wished I had stock in the light bulb concession. It is a ten minute ride up the mountain. We got there they fixed the gardens up and put water falls in.They had tables and chairs outside you can sit and relax tables inside there to it does gets 20 degrees cooler then down in the city.
We got to the restaurant after we did some sight seeing out side. This restaurant you had to have reservations for Christmas.I do not know if you have to have it all the time for this one?
It was a full buffet with salad, different kinds of meat a variety, veggies some different ones, they had rolls.Drinks regular and alcohol to drink. And desserts different kinds I would give it a 9 to rate the food.
The other restaurant next to it is a quickie foods Hot dogs and fries and chips and drinks.you stand in line and pick up what you want.

“The coolest spot in Palm Springs!”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

The top of the tram gives one the opportunity to cool off and hike in the summer and cross country ski somewhat rough terrain in the winter. The restaurant is good and the temperature in the summer is really the coolest spot in town!

“Good food, great views, nice staff”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Really good place to have a bowl of chili and French fries before heading back down the mountain. The staff is friendly and quickly bus tables. The environment is fun, lots of lively conversations and many different languages. Chili was some of the best and the fries were good and spicey! Prices not bad for a tourist destination. And they serve Starbucks coffee!

“Food with a view.”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

Eat if you want, but the view is free. I haven't been here in the evening, but for a quick lunch with the kids it is good to have at the top.We tend to bring a snack or grab a sandwich and head outside to the trails.
