“Romantic Get-Away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

What a jewel of a hotel, nestled at the foot of the mountains in the heart of Palm Springs. Close to everything you would want to experience. Only one block from the wonderful Palm Springs Art Gallery. A short drive to the Palm Springs tram lift that takes you 8500 feet up to wonderful views. A fabulous Greek restaurant outside the door, wonderful shops from Olive Oil and Vinegar tasting rooms to clothing and jewellery. After a busy, tiring day this hotel was a wonderful retreat to return to for a swim or hot tub or in-room with the ambience of a glowing fireplace. We would most definitely return to stay here and recommend it to others.

The location is perfect, the staff go out of their way, the hotel and room are a 10 as far as being clean. I believe that you could not ask for anything more in a hotel setting. If any one coming to Palm Springs looks at this hotel and stays somewhere else it's their lost. Would like to thank Zack and all the other staff members for such a great time.

Room Tip: All rooms are great but the rooms overlooking Palm Canyon have a little street noise.

I travel often to Palm Springs as I reside in the LA area. I have stayed at every High-End Hotel in and around the Palm Springs area. There are many reviews of much more expensive or popular Hotels like the Parker Palm Springs or the Riviera Hotel all of which I have experienced first hand. The Parker, although once the "In Place", is now older and somewhat run down. The Riviera is Okay, but both The Parker and Riviera are lacking the intimate charm of The Andreas Hotel and Spa. I was so surprised by the most incredibly private and resort club-like setting, which is consummate for a relaxing stay. The Staff were all so welcoming, warm and professional. They were very attentive to my every request. All of my needs were met with their incredible attention to detail, which I greatly appreciate in any Hotel.... even providing me with a Toothbrush and Toothpaste (which I had forgotten). In the morning, they had a fantastic Continental Breakfast. My room was very clean and nice appointed. I Highly Recommend The Andreas Hotel and Spa to everyone seeking a relaxing and one-of-a-kind stay!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful, some larger than others, but all share an incredible Central Courtyard Swim...

From the oddly stained bathroom floor, to the murky lighting, to the touted "view of downtown" turing out to actually overlook a massive construction site, to the internet constantly disappearing, our stay here was disappointing. But the genuinely scary thing was the unmarked inch and a half drop from the room into the hallway. Might not sound like much, but stepping out and "thunking" down is at best disconcerting, and in high heels I'd imagine it would be downright dangerous. Felt like something a building inspector might write them up for. On the plus side, everyone who worked there was very nice, very friendly.

The Andreas Hotel and Spa is like an oasis in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. My husband and I stayed there for a few days recently, and we could not have been happier. The entire staff bends over backwards to ensure that guests have everything they need. We were greeted warmly, given a brief tour of the property, and escorted to our room. We had a standard queen room on the first floor, and it was very clean and comfortable. The entire hotel has great character and a warm, welcoming feel. We parked the car and never had to move it, as everything was within easy walking distance. The pool area is very relaxing, and they have drink and food service available. We will definitely stay at the Andreas anytime we return to Palm Springs.

Room Tip: All the rooms appear to be very nice. It is probably worth the extra money to choose a king room or...

Just returned from a great stay in Palm Springs. Only stayed one of the nights at Andreas but it was a nice stay. My room was on the smaller side but on the second floor so the high vaulted ceiling was nice. Room was nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. Staff was helpful and pleasant. If you are looking for a downtown Palm Springs location then this place is perfect. Pool side lounge chairs very comfy with nice pads and lots of shade to be found. In fact, not a lot of direct sun if that's what you are looking for. Probably depends on the time of year. However, with the building surrounding the pool it might always be an issue. Excellent stay at a 3 star Boutique hotel in downtown Palm Springs.

We stayed one night at the Andreas. The location is excellent, right in downtown Palm Springs where it was easy to park and easy to walk around. Check-in time is 3pm - not earlier, but we were able to leave our car and stroll the main street until our room was available. Champagne was offered at check-in. Our room was on the second floor and had a fireplace. It was very nicely appointed. We did hear a band from a nearby restaurant for a bit, but not close to bedtime. There is a pool in the middle of the hotel we saw others using, with towels and nice chaises, and a bar with food close by.We were told you could order food, and the menu was limited but interesting, but we didn't have the opportunity to sample it nor the spa (too short a visit.) Beds were comfortable but ours could have used a new mattress...I felt a little like I rolled to the middle. Breakfast was fairly standard - frozen waffles, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, (soy milk, too, not standard and much appreciated!!) fruit and breads. Coffee, tea and cocoa were available 24 hours, as were jars of candy. The people were terrific. It was clear they were trying to make this a really nice experience for us. We were looking for a small hotel with character, and this really fit the bill. It isn't a Ritz Carlton, but neither are the prices Ritz-esque. Were we pleasantly surprised? Yes. Would we go back? Most definitely.
