“a rock oasis”

Had a really fun time hanging at the Hard Rock. Didn't actually stay at the hotel but spent quite a lot of time in the lobby bar and chilling by the pool for the Sunday pool party. The DJs were consistently great, the staff was friendly, and the lobby design was very cool - the DJ booth is actually a functional art installation made of all kinds of vintage and modern speakers. I even got a 'backstage' tour of the building and some inside scoop on all the memorabilia and upcoming developments at the hotel. Overall I enjoyed that it was a diverse group of people, great music and good vibes. I haven't spent a ton of time in Palm Springs, but just from my own personal experience, it seems hard to find a place that attracts a truly mixed crowd and is guaranteed to be lively every night - Hard Rock is that spot.

One of the best hotels to stay at in palm springs! Right in the middle of everything. It has a cool modern look and our room was spacious and the bedding was super comfortable. All of the staff was friendly. The pool area is large and there is a bar and misters for when it's hot. The beach balls in the pool were a fun addition that got everyone playing and having fun. It is definitely going to be my hotel of choice when in palm springs!

this place is has got to be the most hip and stylish hotel in PS. first of all, it's got an awesome lobby with a big open, swanky recessed lounge area and a bunch of really amazing memorabilia! they have this ridiculous dj set up right when you walk in, a booth made completely of vintage speakers that work! - there was a live dj and really good dance music playing; and i had really interesting drinks at the bar down there, which went down rrreal easy in the heat of the night! the lobby leads out to the pool, which has always got a fun hip crowd splashing around and sometimes theyve got another dj playing out there... SUPER fun and a great place to stay! everything's brand new and the rooms were very stylish and roomy with great views. everyone was super attentive and nice too, which is so important! love this place!

I love the look and vibe of this hotel! There are gorgeous details everywhere and it was the right combination of cozy and modern. The pool and bar areas were fun. The feel of the lobby was lively and inviting with a good mix of age groups, I could equally see myself staying here with either friends or family. I was treated very well by the staff, oh and I really enjoyed the unique framed albums outside each room. Definitely hope to stay here again soon!

I had a great time at the Hard Rock for New Years. I got to see one of my idols, Andy Rourke of the Smiths, up close and personal. The music and vibe were great, not just in the evening but all day. This is not a club but it is one of the coolest hotel lobbies I have ever seen. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they love working there. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the views are to die for. The only thing I didn't like was that there isn't a live venue there, but I asked about it and they say it is coming later this year. I can't wait to come back and see what they've done. It'll be on my go to list whenever I'm in Palm Springs. The hotel is also located by a place that carries Dole Whip! It's like a dream come true!

OMG JayRayRiv it was my favorite NYE's too! And i'm not just saying that. It was just such a fun crowd. Andy Rourke was super cool. The party goers were an eclectic mix, and everyone was just on the same happy, party vibe. It was cool. Did you see Frosty the Snowman? I posted a bunch of party pix on our facebook page! Check them out and tag yourself!! Happy 2014 and we'll see you soon!

We recently stayed at the Hard Rock Palm Springs checking in on a Wednesday and out on Friday. Parking by valet with no charges while we were there. My son and I play guitar and were surprised to find out the hotel has a bout 20 different electric guitars in stock for free guest use. This includes head phones and a plug in foot switch. You sign an agreement authorizing a $1,000.00 deduction on your credit card for loss. I understand that the hotel also provides guitar lessons on the hotel channel, though we did not try it.

The hotel itself is littered with rock memorabilia as you would expect though the structure itself is a remodel of an older hotel. This was evident in our room when we couldn't get the air conditioner to work. A hotel engineer appeared moments after our complaint and told us that it had been disconnected after the previous guest complained that it was too cold. They fixed it, but then it was freezing and wouldn't lower temperature. Solution, manually turn the system off and on whenever had enough. Our balcony sliding door took some muscle to open and close. Beyond these inconveniences we enjoyed the hotel. There is a free pool table next to the bar that we used and an iPad bar free for guests. The bar itself is part of a hugh lounge with comfortable couches right off the main lobby. The hotel had a nightly DJ in the bar and screened all persons entering the hotel for entrance. We had to walk through both nights we were there and it was pretty dead inside. I also used the gym which has a few treadmills and ellipticals each with a cable hook up for TV although I couldn't get it to work. Good weight machines and a full compliment of dumbbells with benches. The gym was clean and both times I went in the morning no one else was there. Complimentary lime water and towels. We didn't use the pool but it looked okay with lots of chairs and an outside bar/cafe. Each staff member has their favorite band included on their name tags which was different.

While there we went to the adjacent street fair which is on a main street a short block away and is quite extensive with art, food and crafts. The fair is every Thursday night. Adjacent to the hotel are so many restaurants that it was a little challenge to decide which ones to try. There is a Pizza place directly across the from the hotel that had a sign bragging about the best Pizza in the USA. We did think it was really good and worth the effort. This hotel has a great location.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the hotel entrance can hear rock music played at all hours.
