“Felt Like We Were Family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2013

We came from Edmonton to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were treated so well and made to feel so at home, it was great! Everything was more than what we expected. It is easy to see why this hotel receives such high ratings. Our rooms were perfect and all the outside amenities well look after. Judy, Jay and Larry sure know how to make you feel welcome and cared for. Thanks guys for making my birthday a special one. Lynn And Dennis Jan 24-30

We stayed here in early January and had a fantastic 5 day stay. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. The room was a great size, the bed was very comfortable, the pool was fabulously hot enough to swim even on a cool day, the evening ambience around the pool was most welcoming and everything you could need from coffee and snacks, to recommendations on restaurants and sights was available and always spot on. Larry & Patty have honestly thought of everything. For a hike we did they even had some binoculars for us to borrow. Those extras were so appreciated. It might be a while before we can visit again, but we will definitely return. Thank you for raising the bar Larry & Patty!

We last stayed at the Desert Riviera about 5 years ago. We loved it then and we still do. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The pool area is fabulous - a great place to hang around for a day (or more!). But, it's the little things and the great service that put this place a notch above others. For example, on the night we arrived we were playing a game of cards poolside. It was dark and the lighting was not great. Larry noticed but we told him we were OK and could absolutely make do. He, however, left the property in search of a better light for us. Not a big deal but a nice touch. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation and we were not able to stay at the Desert Riviera one night. Judy contacted us in advance, told us about the problem and proposed solutions. She booked another nice hotel for us for that night, at no extra expense to us. She offered to pick us up, if needed, and to do whatever else she could to make our trip enjoyable. A class act - they know how to make it right when mistakes happen. They couldn't have done more. A great hotel, tremendous service.....honestly you just couldn't ask for more. Hopefully, we will be back before another 5 years passes.

Came here all the way from Vancouver BC, and I've gotta say, friendly staff and beautiful resort. The poolside, bar, and cabanas are AMAZING! Definitely the highlight of the resort. I loved the bonfire set up at night aswell. Also have to check out Spa Terre. Kind of expensive but after that facial I got, my skin feels awesome. The relaxation room in Spa Terre is also beautiful. Highly highly recommended!

Room Tip: Get a room infront of the pool, in buildings 2 or 3.

We'd stayed there a few months ago and thought it was just okay. It is after all a motel and maybe shouldn't be held up to the same standards as a hotel. Noisy from the street and nearby construction. Nicer rooms but I don't know- it was missing something for us. A spiffed up motorlodge and overpriced. Would've preferred setting further back from street noise. Stayed at other places that feel like more of an escape, private. I guess if you have a family or group and not concerned about quiet this might be more for you.

Hadn't been to Judy and Larry's Desert Riviera in a while, so we really looked forward to our brief two night stop last weekend. As always, everything was perfect, and very much enjoyed seeing them both and catching up. They must screen the people who stay there (joking), as we always meet the best people. We'll be back.

Celebrating a special family birthday we headed for Palm Springs and the Desert Riveria Hotel.
We knew we had chosen the right place from the moment we walked into the lobby and Judy smiled and said 'here are our birthday celebrants !' . She made us reservations and booked us the limo for our trip to Copley's (do not miss this restaurant). She and Larry attend to every detail to make sure that your stay is one you will always remember. and Jay is a absolute scream :)
Thanks Larry, Judy and Jay for making my sister's birthday an event she will cherish forever.
Desert Riveria will see us again !

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully decorated and super clean (thanks Isabel )
